Hey guys, just wanted to share something i've spotted that seems to work really really well. Whilst watching one of my favourite YouTubers (who has close to 3 million subscribers) i noticed a self-promotion comment from
another channel, but this one was a little different.

Now usually these sort of comments where you self-promote on popular channels and ask others to check out your channel get a lot of hate. This one was different because he made another fake account, that copied exactly the popular youtubers account, same name same profile picture etc, he then replied to himself on his self promotion comment as the famous youtuber, telling everyone to go check this dudes channel out. This videos gets near a million views and this self promotion comment got over 200 likes because people thought wow this popular youtuber is actually commenting on his comment and also saying check this dude youtubes channel out. Then that comment stays at the top.

I noticed it staight away when i hovered over the imitation of the popular youtubers account and saw he had only 9 subscribers, but it looks like it has tricked most people.

When i checked out the self-promoted channel, the videos were so bad (9 year olds) doing awful comedy sketches, the videos were so terrible he was getting around 50 likes and 1000 dislikes and a LOT of hate in the comments, but that doesn't matter he had amassed 6k subs from this and his videos getting over 20k views each video.

Sorry if this is common knowledge or something, just wanted to share.

PS he made his original comment so no one could reply to it after he commented on it with the fake account.
