Straight into it I've been lurking here on and off for maybe 4 years or more? Trying out one or two methods here and there. These are my earnings:

£14.90(4.09 Pending) + £1.32 + £0.00 in 4 years.

I hope my earnings made you guys smile or laugh, because even though these earnings are so low. Each product had no keyword research, no advertising/marketing put into it. Purely organic sales and had me smiling for a while, paypal didn't even give me a notification!

So join me in my stupidity, doing internet marketing completely wrong and maybe even (cross your fingers, touch wood) I'll even make some money. Oh yeah other than that money I have no money and currently jobless. So rather than just approach one method/idea/project, I'm going to try as many as possible!

Ideas/Projects:
1)

Cloning an E-com store + Redbubble/Pod sales: Even though I've made the most money on redbubble, their manufacturing fees & margins are goofy. Plan to use the current revenue to buy a domain and hosting, selling my designs and products... But why do all the hard work when I can just copy someone else's homework.

I could create designs funnel through POD services to test products, keywords, and all that good stuff.
So make designs > blast them onto as many POD services > Pray for sales > Products that sales or have clickthroughs > Put onto website > Repeat > Reach certain amount of revenue > ?????? > Sale on Flippa

What could go wrong? :D

2.)

I haven't got that far yet

First post and it is a journey post. I would say, you are off to a great start Estrid.

what's your age and country?
I think you doing half assing.
give a try and have patience don't jump.
and go get a job to support your im needs.

There's a world of difference between producing products on Redbubble/Amazon and them bringing the traffic and promoting your own website. The margins are better on your own site but that's only when you have a way to get buyers on there. My advice is don't do both. I've done a lot of POD sales both on markets like Amazon and pushing free/paid traffic to my own site so I'm speaking from experience here.

If you want to design and create products then stick to KDP/Redbubble for now until you're making money with it. You can always put them on your own site way down the line but for now you benefit from them bringing traffic to you so you just need to create the products. Any promotion you do yourself is a bonus.

If you want to learn to build and flip sites then don't do POD. Not only are the margins thin but you're adding the work of designing the products on top of the work promoting the site. I had a couple of designers working to create products and it was still a pain in the ass.

That's my advice anyway. Focus on one until you're making some money.

You can do it mate.. Just learn more and focus more.

Numbers maybe small, but you're working it out. Hope you find a way to scale this up.

Wow, thanks guys I appreciate all the messages honestly didn't even expect anyone to read my thread yet.

Project 1: POD Website + POD Services.

I'm currently on Redbubble and it will stay my primary service for the moment their rules on infringed property, copyright and etc are a bit more lax in comparison to MBA. But I will also try to join all the other POD services, having all my designs on their websites could give me a bigger reach.

One thing I did not have before on my store is analytics, so hopefully once I drum up more sales I can find out my demographic and try see what that target audience likes to buy.

So I've come up with producing 4-20 (unique-ish) designs based on T-shirts, stickers, masks & phone cases ( basically just different dimensions)

My research& design weekly cycle will be:
1) 80% Evergreen, 10% Trends & 10% Seasonal
2) 100% Trends
3) 60% Evergreen, 20% Trends & 20 % Seasonal
4) 100% Trends
5) 40% Evergreen, 30% Trends & 30% Seasonal

If I get into this cycle weekly, I could be spending less than one hour a day which would leave plenty of time for other projects. My long term goal with this cycle is to manually create 500 designs by the end of the year. I do not know which will sale but by putting as many quality designs out as possible it will give me the best chance.

Simply put: Research > Design > Upload > Repeat until 500

The website: with more people shopping online I had to go with my gut instinct and take a gamble, I decided to buy a domain for £6.99. I thought I would go the free hosting + Woocommerce route but i'm just far too lazy to do that. So I've decided on going with shopify developer store, obviously have to pay for the real deal once you reach 50 sales but at that stage it SHOULD be sustainable.

Next project: So through doing my short week of research, I really hit the zone and found so much new information on here and other sources of things I could be doing. I am now 100% If I don't make at-least £100 by the end of the year, I'm an idiot. I wrote down a total of 14 methods, which I should be able to start today.

Thinking about it I got into a bit of decision paralysis and decided to just wheeldecide what I should do next, first I did one on how many projects I should do and then what projects.

Project 2: Niche quiz site
Project 3: Amazon affiliate authority site
Project 4: Youtube channel ( Ad Revenue not CPA/Content locking)

I think once I go through the initial setup and research process for each method I could in theory at-least sustain all of these projects, if they don't work I'll just move onto the next one. With one foot in the door mentally I bought another two domains and see what happens from here.

After reading a few other threads, I don't think it would be right for me to update my thread until I make another sale or tangible progress. But I feel motivated so I've changed my target goal to be the UK minimum wage x european average hours worked which is £328 per week / £1,421 per calendar month.

I have a sneaky suspicion that you are correct.
Humble and slow beginnings with reachable targets are usually a good pointer to great results.
Grit + determination + hunger = success - go OP we will watch and cheer!

Im an idiot too, let me watch another one of my kind go at it!

Long story short, my account got shut down without a reason. I gave up... for a while.

So I rebooted my POD Journey with RedBubble at the end of October, once I figured out what sold and what didn't I made two other accounts to test different ideas & price margins ONLY organic traffic. Right now I'm sitting 300+ designs between all three accounts.

Account 1 with a 18% Margain

RB2.PNG
Account 2 with 5% margain has no sales. :D

Account 3 with a 110% Margain

I know it's not a lot of money in contrast to most projects on here, but I feel like I've made my first step.
At this point I'm pretty confident with Redbubble I could even write a course.

Waiting to be accepted into Merch By Amazon if not I'll just have to make my storefront with Shopify or something similar.

Also with things slowing with POD past the Christmas period, I'll pick one of the other projects which I dropped. Quiz site, Typical affiliate site, or youtube + AdSense channel.

Never give up guys.

Should be fun to follow along. 1 tip, try not to get distracted. Focus on 1 or 2 projects only or you’ll never get anywhere. Good luck!

not idiot ..more like interweb genius .... keep going im working in ecom myself and my brand im working with a youtube channel also ..look into a service like tubebudy or vidiq to learn how to rank youtube for constant traffic for your site aswell as ig and other social media ...sorry for the ranting .....just want to inspire you a bit ....we win in the end

You should not see amazon failures as failures. These will help you a lot on this journey.
