An expired domain that used 301 redirect

So I found a couple of expired domains and web 2.0 that used 301 redirect in the past.

Do you think it's okay for me to go ahead and use them "as long as" the redirected page isn't a spammy site?

Redirections shouldn't be a problem, so yes.
