What other plugins are there for WP interlinking.
I honestly don't know what other plugins are out there. All I can say is that my experience with linkwhisper is not great.
Thanks for sharing this.

I have 1 question: Can we interlink the same page twice in a single post? With or without the same anchors?
if you link to the same page twice, google will ignore the second mention. I can't find a case study.

I just remembered, take a look at Pretty Links. You can import a set of keywords and match links to them, it will automatically change those keywords found in your content to links ect.

Thanks for this tip.

I definitely agree with you when it comes to Link Whisper.

That plugin is kind of a hit or miss.

I see it only being useful for people who just want to internally link randomly.

But if you are looking to interlink for maximum SEO value, you might want to do things manually.

Your approach makes a lot of sense.

If I may add to your tip, I suggest that people use calls to action.

Please understand that at the end of the day, you're not just interlinking for Google's benefit.

While that is important when it comes to ranking your pages for your target keywords, always remember that if you want to make a sale, you have to appeal to flesh-and-blood human beings.

This is where calls to action come in.

So it's not enough to interlink lists with each other, but give people a good reason why they should click on the link.

In this context, the link acts as an extension of the content that they are already reading.

It adds value to whatever it is that they're already checking out on your site.

If you get them excited enough, they click on the link.

And once you deliver on that other page, they're more likely to stay on your site.

And this can help improve user experience, which can then also increase your rankings.

You are absolutely right. If it is an e-commerce site, we must primarily think about how the customer will react.

I've always struggled to efficiently interlink pages, even with LinkWhisper. And I found this method online, so it's not mine but I found it very neat and effective. How do you use GSC to build internal links?

Method:

Go to GSC > Click on "Search Results" > In the window click Total Clicks + Total Impressions + Average CTR + Average Position > Then in the options a few inches lower, click Queries > Go lower down and click 500 Rows per Page. That will give you the most-searched-for keywords leading people to your website. You can click on the column headings to prioritize the info you want. For example, you can prioritize your list to show which keywords are getting the most impressions. Or the most clicks. Etc., etc. For example, I sometimes go to the "Position" column and look for keyword phrases that are just outside of the top three search results for that phrase. Some good internal links to the main page featuring that KW phrase can sometimes bump that page up into the all-important top three results.

Now (just for the sake of example) let's say your list contains a keyword phrase like BBQ ribeyes and you want to drive more traffic to your main How to BBQ Ribeyes page. Open a separate window and do a site search, like this: site:yourdomain.com BBQ ribeyes. That will list every page on your website that contains the keywords BBQ and ribeyes. Go to some of those pages and, using BBQ and ribeyes in your anchor text, create some internal links from those pages to your main page on BBQing ribeyes. Google has publicly declared that internal links are good and are helpful.

Hope it helps
What a genius idea dude. Thanks!

I agree, it is necessary to evoke emotion in a potential client.

Great post, and a quick question:

On average how long would you say it takes for all of your rankings to increase after applying this method?

Hard to say... I only recently found this method.
1. At least a few week (my educated guess) as you need to let google re-index those linking pages and I don't force it so it can take 1 day or 1 month but till google finds those internal links, you won't see any improvements.
2. For now, I'm only adding 1-2 links now and then... hundreds of pages. I also expect to see improved dwell time but again... hard to say as I only started doing it 2 weeks ago.
If your site is like 10-20 pages then you'll see the results sooner.

Nice tip!

Yes, internal links are so undervalued, would love to see more conversation on them here at BHW.

I rank local/regional websites with no backlinks for almost any mid difficulty keywords (40 to 70 KD) just because of internal linking and proper on page SEO.

What other plugins are there for WP interlinking.

Hi mate, that's impressive.

Can you share some of your tips/strategies? What gives you such excellent results?
