    Intro

Before I begin I’ll give you guys some context. I’ve been a member of BHW since I was around 15. I played around with some Blackhat CPA stuff back in the day and did a bit of freelancing but I lost interest in it when I went to University. I studied design and I’ve been using software like The GIMP and Photoshop since I was 12. I’m a pretty decent artist.

I dropped out of University and planned to join the military. Over this summer I spent 2 weeks working full-time in a factory and it hit me, I can’t work for other people. I won’t work for other people. I rediscovered BHW and started reading and planning.

    The Plan

Crowdsourcing: I hate using crowdsourcing websites but I need money and don’t have time to go find proper clients. In total I need to raise at least £400 in the next 6 days. I am going to enter at least $400 of competitions every day this week. I’ll only enter competitions that have less than 20 entries. I’ve lost both the competitions I entered yesterday but one of them bought my designs anyway. It was £55 after the conversion rate and PayPal fees. That leaves £345 to go

Fiverr: For the next 7 days I want to create a Fiverr gig every day. I put up a gig last week but didn’t get any sales. I’m going to have another go today but I’m going to make a video this time.

Kindle: By January 1[SUP]st[/SUP] 2014 I plan to have at least 12 eBooks published via the Kindle store. I intend to write and illustrate children’s stories.

So the plan is to use crowdsourcing and Fiverr to provide me with a supplementary income. If I can raise the £345 this week I only need £100 a week to live off and pay rent afterwards. Then over time I’ll be publishing children’s books on the Kindle Store.

I made this thread to keep me motivated and to ask advice. In a few hours I’ll link my Fiverr gig and if anyone has any advice on how to get sales let me know.

    Cheers, wactm

Tried uploading a video to Fiverr but its taking ages to 'process'. Hopefully it will be done by tomorrow. I also did 2 crowdsourcing gigs. They were logos, hopefully I win both.

    I'm off to bed.

So Fiverr rejected my video for copyright reasons. I think its cus of the animoto logo at the end so I'll cut that out and resubmit today. Havent done any crowdsourcing jobs yet because my dad is visiting. We're going to pub but when I get back I'll do another one. Still yet to hear whether I've won or lost any other comps.

How good of an graphic artist you are? I need some ebook graphics done, so before I go to fiverr etc I am willing to take a look at your skills. Do you have any portfolio/website I can see what you are capable of?
