"Amazon?s fight against fake reviews rages on with a new lawsuit filed against enterprising Fiverr.com freelancers offering to write phony product reviews. The suit, filed Friday in Washington, lists more than 1,000 ?John Doe? defendants by their Fiverr user names."

Well this sucks. I wonder will they actually go through with lawsuits of just get the people to submit a statement saying they will cease and desist. Any Legal Eagles know how this will play out?

Maybe Amazon should focus on their own reviews that they delete or don't post when somebody post something negative about a product they sell or the sellers who write bad reviews of their competitors products

Fiverr gave out the the names of their sellers. They coworked with amazon and thats why fiverr didnt get sued themself.
However i'm pretty sure only people will be pissed who lives in western countries like north america,eu,australia.People from Asia will show a middle finger since the US has no jusrisdiction in most of asians countries like india

My guess is it is just some PR to scare the amazon review sellers out.

Fake reviews are hard to combat. It's better to try a product or service before paying for it, or get the review from a friend or someone you know that had used the product or service.

Amazon concern with Fake review is good step, but I am really worried how they would sue the people who belong to Asian countries? Anyone Knows?
