Amazon ranking is Damn Unbeatable look at this proof

Amazon is an online book selling monster. Working as intended

does it mean that it would be very very hard to outrank Amazon even if it has very low amount BLP ( backlink to pages ).

should we avoid targeting niches in which Amazon is number ?

No, you can outrank Amazon, i have a number of sites that do. Dont try Books. Try less competitive niches.

out ranking amazon isn't possible.. get yourself an exact match domain name and you'll be ontop of them no probs

Amazon is blessed for books... "Blessed by google" only effects certain keywords for a website. Ebay is blessed for Auctions... they don't need keyword density either... I consider it industry tampering by google... needs government regulation IMO.

I've outranked amazon myself many times actually.

I just did a g search for book for sale... Amazon was currently at 5.

You can get to the three spot in about 3 months and stay there. 1 and 2 would be super hard because of the nature of the domain names and links coming in. Good domain name and daily good boy link building. This could probably pay you up 100 a month as it gets a 90k search volume and the book profit is meager for affiliates.

Not really surprising that amazon, a site that started selling books and have been selling books for the last 12 years, ranks #2 for the keyword; "book for sale". The suprising thing is that a amazon page with no baclinks is ranked #2. Would be more likely to see a link to the books category.

Well indeed it does have a huge amount of inbound links, but as you can see MS is also showing you that its onpage seo has a flaw...i believe you can beat them with a fraction of links they have if you properly optimize your page.
