I also got the same email. Its a really nice feature and I am sure people will stop using third party plugins to redirect their traffic to different amazon stores according to country.

I got that email also, I wondered why they don't do it for all, it would be better
same

i just implemeted the code and wanna see how it works.
blogzand sir, are u using it or are going to use it? or will stick with genius or some worpdress plugins that do the job?

to be honest, they should have done it earlier

wonder why it doesnt cover all countries

but immediate threat i can think of is that it will means put all traffic / amazon clicks in one basket.

good thing though, we can have a higher tier-ing payment easier. ( correct me if i m wrong )

At the moment I'll stay with easyazon and prosciate, they have 90 day cookies as opposed to amazon's 24hr

Sir, can you elaborate more? to my limited knowledge, we only get 90 days cookies IF and only IF a buyer put that product into the cart ( to be purchased ).

in that sense, it means that it will be the same if its a normal url affiliate link generate by amazon url.

am i right? i would be damned if i get it wrong and havent make use of prosciate and easyazon / genius link.

good read and some good reminder

"This basically just means that when those products are added to the customer’s Amazon shopping cart, you’ll get credit for those purchases as long as they are completed within 89 days. I say 90 days, because Amazon is referring to 89 days after the day that the products are added to the shopping cart."

i do know this and i hv tried the other plugsin for adding to chart

however, using this method, for any other sales that is made aftet 24 hours, wont get benefied as well.

and i worries that some ppl will leave the amazon add to cart page when sees there is an option for adding to cart.

It's a bit confusing, if they simplified it they'd make more, I got annoyed with them because some products can't be added to cart like music, dvds and books

I got this also when I logged in to my US Amazon account, I'm new to Amazon associates, I use prourls with the plug-in and pretty links. I was going to use Easyazon but I think they insert their own I.D with every 100 clicks? is that correct?

I guess I'd have to redo all the links on the site if I were to use the Amazon system now?

Easyazon doesn't do that with the paid version

Ok, i didn't know that. how much is the paid version? Did you look at any other plug-in that localises I.D's I came across the Amazon link localizer plug-in with prourls, that's free. but obviously if there site/server goes down then so do all your links as they are localised there end.

Do you use pretty links or just the standard shortened Amazon link

Also, i noticed you can't have the USA and Canada accounts centralised in my UK account which would be better for me, as at the moment I don't have a USA/Canada payment method set up.

Well, this is awesome. Thanks for letting us know, OP

my pleasure.

didnt know that until now... always gd to discuss here with pro and friends in BHW.

speaking of which, is it possible to have add to cart function without using any plugins? so that when clicked on the url, directed to confirm add to cart or not?

As far as I know it doesn't, they have to do that when they reach amazon

No they are different. You need to set up different payment method, also if I remember rightly you have to fil out a tax declaration for as you're not from the us.
To answer your other questions I also use prosciate for stores and auto azon banner for blogs as they geo target

Yep tax declaration all done, what payment method do you recommend? a cheque isn't really an option as my bank doesn't accept US cheques

A lot of people go with Payoneer ( They used to and may still do the refer a friend, where you both get $25 each ) I'm going to get a new account there.
