I am noob when it comes to affiliate marketing but I decided to try it with Amazon. I bought hosting and domain, a nice theme and set up the website. Right now, I only added the pillar article and made the site's structure (pages, products, etc.). I just have to add a review for each product (22 products in total). I will try to update this thread frequently.

Best of luck with journey. Take a help from other journey threads in journey section. Tons of thread on amazon journey.

Thanks. I will. One of the reasons I made this thread is to ask for help when I need it.

I wish you the best for your journey, will follow this one.

Hi all. Thanks for your support. Sorry for not updating the thread frequently, but I've been busy. I've just added 6 reviews and the pillar article. I have a total of 22 products on my website. How long does google take to index the content? Also, a few questions more questions:

- do you think that it will work if I hire a couple VAs to post on forums or comment on blogs with a backlink to my website?
- should I try FB/Instagram shoutouts?
- or what's the best way to get people to my website?

Obviously you need to build backlinks. I prefer to build them myself to ensure the anchor text is right and nothing gets over optimized.

You could always try Facebook or Bing ads to try to get people to your site as well (I prefer Facebook). Just keep in mind that you'll lose a chunk of money if you don't set up the ads right, which can be pretty difficult to do.

In my past experience, shoutouts on Instagram don't help, but I can't speak for Facebook. Regardless, it wouldn't hurt to try as different niches will convert different than others with this.

Best of luck!

What do you mean by over optimized?

Over optimized meaning you're trying too hard to get Google (or other search engines) to like you, basically. Using too much EM anchor text, not using generic anchor text (website name, naked URL, etc.) when backlinking could classify as over optimizing your backlinks and doesn't look natural. This will in turn hurt your rankings as that's a no-no. Your site could get penalized even.

Just added the reviews for all the products. I would like to also add some comparison tables on the front page. Could someone suggest a good plug in for that?

Wishing ya luck mate. I'm also trying an amazon site, and referring to the many great journeys here for some guidance.

And to your questions, tablepress is what I'm using, it's good an easy, but don't think it's mobile friendly

Thanks. Anyone knows what to do so that if someone from UK clicks a link they will get on the UK amazon?

Geni (dot)us would be what you might be looking for I think. They also have a 14 day trail. Good luck

Would it be better to add a couple buying guides to the home page or make a separate page for them?

Just started a link building campaign, hired someone on fiverr. I also made an instagram shoutout, got 44 clicks but no sale.
