Amazon for newbies

Ok, so i just signed up with Amazon and put some products on few of pages.
I searched forums here and didn't found any good about about Amazon or anything.
If anyone know and wants to tell me what should i do/read/learn to earn some money with Amazon ?
And i am not yet going to start with Cookie stuffing until i found out how this things work.

You need to get some targeted traffic to your website as Amazon only has a 24 hour cookie. If a visitor clicks on one of your affiliate links and purchases something before the cookie expires then you will get a commission for it.

Also leave the cstuffing in the cookie stuffing section of this forum as its not allowed here.
 
Why do people prefer other Aff networks before Amazaon, Amazon is the oldest and has the most trust in customers ?
I know that they have low % and that 24h cookie, but still.. i didn't find any useful post/ebook about Amazon.
 
I've tried some amazon stuff. I dont think you really need an ebook. Follow theadultsplayground advice. Find a good product...Get Targeted Traffic....Sell Product. You can use ppc to get traffic but you really need to watch your bid prices, its possible to loose your money quickly. I think somebody shared Am*zon H*nter on here a while ago. It might help seed up the progress of finding products. But the real issue is the 24 hour window. You have to eliminate most of the window shoppers. Oh ya find a niche, chances are if you think of a popular product some one is already pushing it.
 
So basically i am planning to do this:
1. Find a good product with really low or no competition
2. Build a site with content about that product and slowly get some targeted, organic traffic.
3. Buy some cheap adwords pre-activated accounts.
4. profit ???

Should i create my site (wordpress blog or something) and then put those links to products or should i create an store and how to do that ?
And i am guessing that the hardest part is finding a good product ?
 
dont go for too cheap products when you do ppc.... remember you will only get 5%
do always calc your ROI then you will be fine

I think is very hard to find good product with low competition, especially if you doing direct linking. I'm doing PPC on Amazon with direct linking for 4 month and lost about $600, you better make a website and drive traffic via search engine, so you don't lose anything if your traffic doesn't convert. You better pick expensive product to cover your cost. Here, I give Amaz*on Hun*ter for you, I hope this can help you pick your product!

You should all check out info product killer . com . I baught the course and I can't recommend it highly enough. I was going to share it but it's all password protected.

Huh.. i looked everywhere on BHW and couldn't find AOM and i found it somewhere on internet and i just came here to post it and found it, damn!
Anyway this software is not really good looking but thanks.
I think there is one better called e4e easyecommerce4everyone or something like that.

So in your opinion what is the best way to sell via AOM, aStore or use those banners on your blog ?
btw can i put adsense in that AOM ?

i've just set up an music portal with amazon products...have had a fair few click throughs but no sales yet...any advise on ways to get targeted traffic..i'm a bit of a noob when it comes that..i know that basic tricks..site is SE optimised as much as possible...ithink..
whats another good way to get traffic to amazon products?
 
The only thing I use amazon affliates for is with my owned GPT site I use it so the user can buy anything they want with amazon and I get 25 percent off it. Pretty good if you ask me
