I'm unable to post links yet but google the title on arstechnica. com
Here you go: http://arstechnica.com/tech-policy/...-hammer-on-website-that-sells-5-star-reviews/
An interesting read I have to say.. This can cause a presedence for Facebook, Twitter and the like to follow suit and start going after social signal sellers.. Do you think that this lawsuit holds any water?
LOL, the guy is a BHW member: http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackhat-seo/members/74678-trance92071.html
it ain't that bad
Amazon has sued Gentile for trademark violations, because he used Amazon logos on his website, as well as false advertising and cybersquatting. The company says his website violates the Washington state consumer protection act.
The lawsuit claims Gentile ran BuyAzonReviews.com, and it names John Doe defendants as the owners of three other domain names it believes are related: buyamazonreviews.com, bayreviews.net, and buyreviewsnow.com. BuyAzonReviews.com has been taken down, but the other sites remain up.
I tend to disagree with that.
Amazon probably follows some of the Amazon threads on BHW, just as Wikipedia was revealed to be aware of a BH thread that explained how to get backlinks on their site. At this point, the big boys do know about where the best ideas and services for gaming their systems are coming from.
That guy sure does know how to get good backlinks.
6 figures for a couple authority links? No thanks.
if you don't know anything about the law of course u would think that's bad, its a civil suit...people get sued everyday, it could have been a criminal case for fraud from the FTC
Guess that is why he needed amazon reviewers http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackh...mazon-reviewers-needed-going.html#post7713553
before I even read the article, I said to myself, that person got to be from this forum. He should had everything offshore from the get go
Another case of someone shitting where they eat at.
Even if he was still sued while being located overseas the amount he could lose would be a fraction of a US civil suit.
I actually thought that myself. ha
Separate names with a comma.
