Wouldn't it be awesome? You would get much better content than with ChatGPT. You would be able to write university-class content easily

You can always train and fine tune the api with the quality you like it gives better results.

Amazon AI with access to all kindle books

I guess there will be copywright issues if something like this comes into play.

They can just update their ToS to give themselves permission to use content from the books.

Ok and what about the authors do you think they will support the move?
How can they give themselves permission to use content from those books which is owned by a 3rd party?
They can however try to enforce this but that won't be healthy for the kindle store.
Most authors will pull out for sure or maybe Amazon will have to make a deal with the authors which means amazon will have to offer something like money.
Amazon is a marketplace for vendors it cannot claim to own the rights to the vendor items and ownership.

Probably the same way I can buy any book I want and write a summary on it and publish it for free. I think this falls under a thing called "fair use". Summaries are allowed, copy paste word for word is what's not allowed.

Summary or book review are entirely different things.
You mentioned about an AI that has access to kindle books and gives university-class content output.
You need a quality AI you will have to feed it with lots of quality data.
And that data needs to be the actual content of the books.

EDIT:
Btw if you're looking for book reviews ChatGPT is very good with that already.
I guess it has access to most of the popular books and their content could be some are missing.
I have book reviews from ChatGPT on many of my websites.
