Hello BlackHatters,

I've decided to start my first solo journey in IM with an Amazon Affiliate Site. I've just started keyword research using SemRush + KeywordRevealer and I have a few questions.

1. Is targeting the US market the best option? I know it's super competitive and basically all the niches will have tens if not hundreds of AAS but at the same time, there's the biggest potential of a good volume buyer traffic. I've got 1 other country (an emerging market) in mind that also has Amazon but comparing the volumes of searches and a much smaller list of buyer keywords to select from, I'm wondering if I should go ahead with it?

2. How many pages (article) should I have ready before publishing the website? Can I just launch it and add one by one or should I have at least, let's say, 10?

3. Is applying for the program difficult? Any suggestions on what to avoid before the application?

4. What % of articles should target non-buyer traffic? And what % should concentrate on buyer-only keywords?

5. Should I select the niche only with products that are mostly expensive (let's say from $50 upwards)? Or is going with a cheap product niche okay as well?

6. What would be the best WP theme for me to go with?

7. Should I start buying links for the website immediately?

I will really appreciate your tips here, guys :)

Also, if there's anything else you feel that is important to know and I haven't listed it above, feel free! :)

1. You have two options: target countries where Amazon is daily used or target products that people can not buy local or from anywhere other than Amazon.

2. Does not matter.

3. Is not. Quality and unique content should do all the job

4. Just do not fill the website with crap articles

5. It's good to have both cheap and expensive products.

6. Can't really say. Depends on you

7. A few can work after 2-4 weeks but do not abuse it

Thanks for your input. mate.

Any other feedback guys?

@EMAOneBillion Hey
Sorry for this newbie question.
why people buy links and what's the point from it?
where they can find them and how much they cost?

Links help you build authority and trust in Google Eyes, which comes with better ranking in google search.
You can find find plenty of quality links to buy in the BHW Marketplace section.

You might consider authority links, guest post and press release to brand your site. The quality ones are usually +70$ per link
For diversity you might want some blog and forum comments + social bookmarking. These are cheaper and usually are bought in bulks.

You need to be looking for relevant/contextual links ideally.
