I was wondering, all of the tutorials posted here since... all talking about traffic from Google but it takes time and rather expensive (links etc)
If I can upload a lot of quality content myself, and I wish not to have seo as my main traffic source

How to bring big and consistent traffic other than SEO?
And, a general deal website (all around niche) is better than specific niche aff web?

    thankss

    -social media [dozens of sites]
    -ppc/paid ads [hundreds of sites]
    -email lists
    -web 2.0's

depends what you're doing. more niche you are the easier it is imo, so long as there is a decent traffic volume for that tight niche.

That's because Amazon affiliate sites make the most money with highly targeted traffic. You can still get traffic from platforms like Reddit etc by answering people's questions and stuff, but forget about things like fb ads (getting a profitable campaign will be very very hard).

Native advertising is also an good option. You need to check it. But make sure you got big budget to even test it.

I just started making money with Amazon Associates like 3 months ago. Kind of an experimental side project just to see if I could earn with Amazon. All social traffic. I get some organic search traffic here and there but not really. I use autoblogging plugins that feed products directly from Amazon and posts about every 2 hours.

I don't know what niches you're in but I can tell you one thing for sure... Pinterest traffic and women's apparel/shoes does numbers.

Social traffic has been working well with Amazon and the biggest takeaway is....just get as many Amazon links as you can out there so that cookie installs.

Traffic sources other than SEO? I guess that depends on how skilled you are at using Pinterest, YouTube and FB. Basically, on how skilled you are at generating traffic. No matter which route you choose, there will always be a learning curve.

Crafting profitable amazon affiliate campaigns from PPC traffic is no easy task. If you really want free, non seo traffic then FB groups and Pinterest might be your best bet.

As far as I know, Amazon's cookies last for 24 hours only so wouldn't it be a better idea to go for a different affiliate program where it lasts longer?

Cookies stays only for 24 hours, is that right? So if they don't buy straight away, there is a low chance of them coming back. At least that's the case with me.

If your design skills are decent you could create an infographic and then outreach to bloggers etc and publish on infographic directories and social media should get you decent traffic.

One other idea is to create an "ultimate" guide/resource for your niche. Say your niche is TV's then perhaps try creating a 5-10 thousand word in-depth article related to your niche and outreach to bloggers and social media to get some traffic.

Should be enough to cover everything you need to know about guestographics. These are probs the best way of driving traffic. You could get thousands of social signals and shares and lots of traffic. If your infographic is good then youll likely get natural links from niche relevent sites and possibly even featured on editorial sites like the HuffingtonPost, lifehack etc. These will give a massive SEO push and lots of traffic. Be sure to include some internal links to pages your trying to rank when you post the infographic on your website. Informational and how-to infographics are usually the most popular of the lot that get shared. So maybe in our TV niche site we are imagining we create an infographic on how to mount a wall tv bracket or common tv troubleshoots etc. you get the idea :)

Yeah but everybody buys from Amazon. I've seen a lot of sales that have nothing to do with the niches I'm pushing. A cookie is a cookie. They can land on your site that reviews headphones, click an Amazon link, and end up buying a whole home entertainment system. The more cookies you get out there the more money you'll make.
I believe OP was asking about Amazon marketing specifically. That's why I mentioned Amazon's cookies.
I hook up social media accounts across all platforms to WordPress Amazon autoblogs. Then I have software follow a a gang of people in those specific niches. Some based on keywords or bigger accounts' followers in the same niche.

Then set up the autoblog to post every 2-3 hours or so. It's automatic money. I haven't scaled it up yet because I'm still testing but the moral of the story is....Amazon + social media = easy chedda.
