Background
I have been creating Amazon Affiliate websites since late 2013. Most of my IM experience is in (trying to) ranking niche websites. It also started with Spencer Haws original Niche Site project (the survival knife one)…and I have not looked back since. I have a full time job and a family so life is pretty busy and IM has to be done in “spare” time.
Why this journey?
I have around 10 sites at the moment and only a few are making the majority of the money…but I have real trouble focusing on a few of these sites and making these big earners. Instead, I end up spending time on lots of sites that are not making much money, rather than concentrate on the ones that are.
By publishing this journey I hope to hold myself accountable to achieving my goals. Plus, I love the BHW community and I will appreciate the feedback and advice given during this journey. I also want to spend some of my time working on other projects as well (such as AliExpress dropship) and not devote all my time to niche sites.
Journey goal
In 6 months’ time I want these sites to be earning at least $4,000 per month. This will allow me to consider leaving my current job and taking up IM full time.
The plan
I will focus on 3 existing niche sites (for me this is “focusing”, 1 would be too boring!) and add content and rank these to get organic traffic and increase their revenue so they jointly earn $4k by May 2017.
The sites

• Site A:

Current work-in-progress
Site A:
• 5x PBN posts targeting 1 keyword / URL (delivered, now monitoring)
• 10x articles ready to upload (5x info & 5x product reviews)
Site B:
• 10x PBN targeting 2 keywords / URLS (in progress)
• 1x article to upload (product review)
Site C:
• RankerX project targeting 1 keyword / URL (finished, now monitoring)
• 2x articles ordered from my writer but not delivered yet
Goals for next 7 days
Site A:
• Upload 10x articles
• Conduct site review using SemRush
Site B:
• Order 5x new articles
Site C:
• Correct some on-site formatting issues
• Add Amazon Native Ad units
• Hopefully get 2x articles uploaded that I ordered

- Home & Garden Niche – more focused around 1 sub-niche
- Created: early 2015
- Content: 12 articles + home page
- October earnings: $840
- October traffic: 3,867
- October click through rate: 84%
- October conversion rate: 8%
- October earnings per click: $0.26
• Site C (new site):
- Sports & Outdoor niche - more focused around 1 sub-niche
- Created: September 2016
- Content: 6 articles + latest blog post style home page
- No traffic or earnings
