Hey everyone

I'm Biffer, not too long ago I knew nothing about IM whatsoever, and this forum is where I started off, learned the basics and got hooked on internet money.

This is a thread where you can ask me anything regarding growth, clients, agency questions and anything else related to Instagram! Hopefully this will help some of the newer and even experienced marketers in some way/shape/form.

Few facts about me:

- I'm 24 years old
- From the UK
- Been doing Instagram for ~3 years now
- Set on scaling to $50k/month in 2019

Have a great day and ask away

Hi, thanks for the thread. Can you please elaborate on what it is you are doing ?

Also how did you get started ?

Thanks for doing an AMA.

I have a few:

1. How do you think has IG evolved in these 3 years? Especially regarding their bot detection, and regarding organic growth.

2. What were your biggest mistakes as a beginner?

3. What general advice do you have? (I understand if you do not want to share your best advice)

What do you offer clients?
Im not sure what to do here, I feel like if a Burger Restaurant wants help with IG what do I do, automate, fan pages etc?
or do you focus on clients that want to build themed pages?

What are you offering your customer? F/UF method or something else?
Good luck on your journey, 10K is really good congratulations by the way :)

1) How much profit you end up with at the end of the month?
2) What do you do exactly to grow your clients' ig account? (paid advertising, influencer marketing etc.)
3) What tools do you use?

How much are you currently making ?

Do you have screenshots ?

What methods are you using ?

What are you selling ?

How are you selling it ?

Thanks for this thread
What are some main reasons for IG accounts and Ads accounts being banned?

How to get new clients ?
Many ways; emails, cold calling, DMs, other social platforms such as YouTube, Quora & Facebook. Be more specific and I can answer more detailed

Good point. So I run a digital marketing agency and we almost solely provide Instagram services. This varies from; just growth, content, consultation, and sometimes more specific operations such as engagement recovery campaigns etc.

I started in an odd way, I was doing CPA spam with OGads for 6-12 months, this was 3 years ago. It got a little difficult and stressful (constant ban waves, PV's etc) so I figured that i know a ton about growing accounts and Instagram in general, why not help legitimate businesses!
Good luck with your journey bro!

Even i do similar work!
Thank you man!

Thanks for doing an AMA.

1. Botting has got more difficult; lower yields and stricter rules. However it's still very viable and profitable if done properly.

2. Biggest mistakes as a beginner when starting as an agency was pricing & confidence in what I was offering. My first client I agreed to £50/month for 6 months. This is crazy cheap and he locked me in for the 6 months. I learned pretty quick after that that my services were higher value than what I gave him. This was mainly down to confidence.

3. General advice? For an agency or for what? Ask me something specific and I will give any information you like!

What do you offer clients?
Im not sure what to do here, I feel like if a Burger Restaurant wants help with IG what do I do, automate, fan pages etc?

See one of my other answers for what I offer.
For a burger restaurant or restaurants in general I would offer them:

- Growth (automated & targeting locals)
- DM's to local users
- Content management (including targeted hashtags)
- Monthly reports (optional)
- Paid ads (optional)

Local growth is generally the best bet here, and content if they have the budget for it. I generally find restaurants pretty difficult to work with.

Do you pitch the clients with DMs or do you have a LP something and redirect them there from IG?
I have something set up with DM's but its hit & miss, you have to have a good strategy to make it work in the DMs. I have a website for social proof but genuinely in 2 years of agency, nearly no one cares about my website, I learned that in the first month. I set up a website, had business cards, flyers, etc. None of it mattered lol.

I dont think it would work pitching through DM's. Its the fastest way to get banned IMO.
It works, just have to be careful & strategic.

what tools do you use?
how many accounts do you bot?
what technique do you use? (child accounts, follow unfollow, power likes?)
what is your backup plan in case IG decides to ban all automated accounts tomorrow?
- I use Jarvee.

~100 client accounts
~400 of my own accounts for different purposes.

All of the methods you mentioned for different users. Follow unfollow is my bread and butter though.

I don't believe IG will do something like that as it will f*ck there user base & stock levels etc. It is getting more and more difficult and only the strong are surviving. If it really did all go south I would probably branch into some other SMM avenue, or just use organic growth tactics which is perfectly viable.

What are you offering your customer? F/UF method or something else?
Good luck on your journey, 10K is really good congratulations by the way :)
Answered above somewhere but F/UF, mother slave, content management & consultation generally. If they have a reasonable request for something else I will always see if its viable for me to fulfil.
Thank you bro!

Profit is good, I wont give the exact figure but above 75%. My costs are mainly proxies, VPS, tools, and an account manager who now automates almost everything for me.

Thanks for this thread
What are some main reasons for IG accounts and Ads accounts being banned?
IG accounts being banned falls into a few categories, namely;
- Botting poorly
- Spamming
- Bad content

Not sure about ad accounts, I would guess blackhat techniques.

What payment methods do you use apart from Paypal?

Cheers
Majority is through PayPal, some through Stripe. Starting to think I need a new payment processor though as PayPal fees are huge and Stripe is not much better

Happy to answer any specific questions you guys may have

Hi,

Thanks for doing this. What proxies and VPS are you working with? How many accounts per proxy/VPS?

What services do you provide and at what price? I have an agency that offers Instagram services as well. I'm thinking of starting to offer content, but I would never want to do this myself and hiring someone would take a large chunk of the profits, which seems barely worth it. And you said you hired an account manager to also manage the clients for you. How does he barely cut into your profits, but also does a good job? I've tried having others do the work, but it's always a crap shoot and they either ask for a ton (and do a barely decent job), or don't work for much, but do an awful job.

How do you approach your client to buy your service?

Bro. Lets say i wanted to produce monthly reports for instagram, what is the best way ?
I'm not going to mention any particular tools for the sake of keeping any affiliate accusations off of this thread, but it's a paid monthly analytics tool. There are tons of free analytic software you can find out there, probably on BHW too!

Hi,

I'm using a private suppliers mobile proxies and a dedicated VPS from Hetzner, I used Greencloud for almost 3 years though. 1 account per proxy (if its client account)

Good questions. So I provide varying services at varying prices. Standard growth for $80-150/m, mother slave for $500-2000/m, content added to one of the growth for $500/m. Content is the biggest pain within my agency, I'm lucky enough to have found someone who takes minimal chunk of the money and does a relatively good job. The same person manages the accounts. The key is in good hiring. If they are not a good fit, don't be afraid to get rid of them instantly and move on. If they are good but make a few mistakes, invest the time into teaching them. Don't be afraid to delegate, even if they're not as good as you (no one will be).

How do you approach your client to buy your service?
Now most clients are inbound (referrals, other platforms, etc).
I would suggest for beginners to cold email/cold call & go knock on some doors
