    Hi fellow BH'ers

I've been doing BH awhile - mostly cookie stuffing and other things back in the day. Recently got into CPA and have had very good success with it. I am currently averaging around $12,000.00 per month. With this success, my AM is asking questions about my traffic and sources and how I do things in general.

Of course, I am doing everything 100% blackhat and gave him a general answer. However, I would like to be prepared because he is inquiring some more about this and I am trying to figure out what to tell him without jeopardizing my account.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Jinx

Look over your contract. What are you obligated to tell him? Are your methods outlined as not being allowed?

Start joining other cpa networks which have the same offers, you need backup in case it goes south.

I would tell him to stop asking...

Its your business how you are doing this.
Talk to him and tell him, that you are giving him business, but your tactics are unique and you cannot share it...
Tell him as well that you are doing business with other CPA and make 100K a month with them, but because of bad relation with your AM you are moving your traffic towards new CPA. Tell him that you require privacy as you are the only in the world doing what you are doing...

If he will ask more questions about other CPA or your methods tell him that he has 2 choices -
    a) Fuck off
    b) Loose you

If you see bigger picture in this tactic you can control him by promising bigger revenue without answering question he asked...
Psychology is powerfull - use it now!
PM me if you have some Q

First, 12k monthly, congrats - I would be asking as well.

Second, I have found that creating a simple but good looking WP website with a locked member page can help. Make your AM aware that information posted in the Member section is only for those that have joined and that its once people get inside before they can see your link.

If you are sure the trafic is convertig for the merchant (blackhat tactics can convert as wel or even better if the source is good) and your not pulling some faud scam, just tell them to piss off.. in a nicer way offcourse..

If the merchant is happy, the network is making money and you cover your tracks, there is no need to tell them anything..

Just say you will send your trafic to another network if they don't back of.
and if they keep pushiing, stick to your word. And send the traffic elsewhere.

most networks don't care if the numbers work. So dont bother with them.

Any offer you run. Has alternatives on other networks who are happy to have you and dont bitch about sources as long as the traffic is real.

Remember, you are in control... the network makes their money off your efforts.
And if you give them the soure. You can be certain they will steal it and run traffic trouugh it temselves. Turning them in your competitor.

As long as your traffic is real and good, dont let them intimidate you..

I wouldnt care about the AM yet - just say anything you like

the question though is - does the traffic convert for the advertiser ?

if it does you have no problem - if not then you need to diversify fast and start creating some sites to throw into the mix - ppc whatever you can.

because otherwise you may end up with nothing

Ask him how conversion are. If he says ok, tell him your sources are your secret.

I would also ask for his superiors email and tell him if he needs more info, you want his /her boss CC'd

MAny times Am are scum and want to steal your ideas. They don't have to know..If conversions are good, life is good.

They need you more then you need them. You've got a million networks to choose from. They need every volume affiliate they can get.

Most people are afraid of them, but in real life you actually own them if you play your cards right.

And if your with a large network who can afford to bitch. Move to a smaller network and you will be treated like a king with golden testikels if you push 10k+ a month

HAd similar problem but I was doing white hat. Was reluctant to share my sources of traffic because what stops them from taking away my traffic. Told him this and he backed off

My recommendations: First, tell him what others here said, fuck off your AM, if the offers are converting for the advertisers, they should have no problem, if they still want it, then give them 1 final warning before you leave to another network, and make sure you pressure him by saying you'll contact the CEO of the Network(his boss).

Second, if he agrees and you get paid for this month, then I suggest that in the other month build a WP blog with CPA-R2 installed just to keep him happy:D

P.S. Btw, I suppose you're blanking all the referers right???

    this really is bad advice..

if he pays you for the going month, it means they accepted the fact that you are not gonna give away the source, they did back off and because of that they probably never ask you about traffic sources ever again. as long as your traffic keeps converting and the merchant doesn`t complain.
So just keep going as you where..

if you go and set up a decoy page and show that site the following month, they instantly know something is up..
if you a month earlier made a big point about privacy, and an moth later you go and show them some wordpress page with hardly any traffic and no ppc activity whatsoever (believe me, they know how to check this, they aren`t idiots... and most of them do read this forum you know...) they WILL know soething is up...

you just as well could send them an email saying:

    "Hello Afilliate Manager

you where right, i`m actually sending unaproved traffic, so i`m gonna show you an irrelevant WP blog from on, just to keep you happy, and i hope you are ok with that and you are stupid and lazy enough to not investigate this any further.

    greetz
    YOUR NAME

Ps: please freeze my account and tell me what an idiot i`ve been for doing this as soon as posible"

follow THUNDERELVI`s advice and you will instantly be banned and have earnings frosen on networks like neverblue, xy7 and maxbounty etc..
Smaller networks might let you get away with it because they need the money from the leads you are generating, and they wont tell the merchant about it. but that still gives them the advantage over you in the future... simply because they know you are doing shady stuff and that you are affraid of them..
if you didn`t give a fuck you wouldn`t go to the trouble to set up a site to show them to fake a ligit source of trafic.

i guess you are blanking, if where not, they wouldn`t be asking these questions. they could easily see where the traffic came from anyway.

But if youre not for some reason, start blanking everything... and i really mean everything, even the whitehat sources..
don`t you think its weird when people only show referers half the time..the merchants are smart enough to know that the blanks are fishy. why would you hide them if they where also ok?
that way you give the merchant a reason to fill an complaint to the network. and if the merchant complaints, you leave the network with no other choise than to, in the best case, pull you from that offer, or even ban you completely from the network.

just blank everything, and if they don`t like it move on to another network...

but as i said before, i never had any network ban me for not showing traffic sources.. even the big networks eventually where ok with me sending blanks allways and on every offer.
the key here is to be sure that the leads that you are sending are converting for the merchant just enough to keep them from complaining to the network for sending junk traffic..
as long as the merchant makes money of the leads you send them, they wont complain.
if the merchants makes money, you`ll make money.. and when you make money the network makes money..

the network depends on you for their dollars, if you dont get leads, they wont get a cut..
you own them, they dont own you, when you learn to think about it this way, you`ll see you`r AM will be an asset to your business instead of a burden looking over your shoulder all the time..
learn to treath them as your assistent instead of an IRS agent who is looking over you`re shoulder for an oppertunity to get you on your knees.

if you treath your AM right, and you drive a lot of traffic for him, they will start doing more and more for you every month.. remember, your AM is just an employees for the network with an anoying boss and targets to comply to every quarter , and if you drive masive amounts of leads through your AM, his boss will value him higher and give him a bigger bonus at christmass time etc..

i`ve been banned from networks for sending real shitty and fraud leads. if you get cought doing that, you leave them no other option then a right out ban. so i got an instant ban. but because i have such a good relationship with my AM, i had a new account on the same network within an hour. and i could run the same offer again withput any problem..
my AM even told me how they discovered i was sending bad leads, with this info i changed my setup and i ran the same offer with the same kind of leads for months after that without any problems

AM`s can be extremely usefull to you and your bussines if you know how to train them right ;)
be good to them and they will be good to you..

I even had an AM that told me in detail what traffic sourse an other high end affiliate was using
he didn`t have the skill and funds to go after that traffic himselve, so he told me so i could get in on that and steal traffic from the other affiliate.
With that i made a lot of money, and because the increase of the number of leads i was sending through him, he got a nice bonus out of it..

AM`s ar just people with 9 to 5 jobs who are to lazy or to stupid to use the info they are getting from the affiliates to their advantage
i would kill for a parttime jub as an Affiliate manager for a big CPA network.. i`d even work 24 hour a week in their ooffice for free to get access to the data other affiliates send to them..

your AM sees all that data and doesn`t know how to use it. so make sure you become his friend and get him to forward that info to you
