    Good afternoon,

I am very new to this and i mean very new. The advice i keep seeing on these forums sum up to "learn and act on it" so i have finaly decided to act but i want to make sure i have the right pieces in place.

    1. I went to click bank found a product i like and know about.
    2. Got a domain name and a host (picked host gator)
    3. bought optomise press to build a squeeze page.
    4. built squeeze page.
    5. got an aweber account.

    so here is the plan.
i wish to buy some high level traffic (maybe $50) to test the waters. the plan is to have the people sign up for a free video, get on my e-mail market list and slowly build. From the squeeze page i plan to have the thank you page being the affiliate product.

    my question is this.
is this a decent plan to start (i know its not perfect) and if not any advice would be apreciated. I am not and repeat NOT looking for a free hand out i have been doing research and i have no problem working hard but being so new i just want feed back and where i may be able to improve. Thank you guys in advance! It really is appreciated.

I am brand new to affiliate marketing and bought a solo ad from Abel- ChuadotCom. He does things a bit differently instead of selling clicks he sells you on the amount of opt-in's he generates for you. I ended up buying 50 opt'in's from Abel for $35 which would be $0.70 per opt in's. My $35 got me 22 subscribers with 3 of those becoming paid customers making me an initial $120 and will make me $60 per month residual. A great deal for myself!

Your plan is pretty standard. Just don't expect much from $50 of traffic, and start testing your landing pages immediately.

True, standard is what i was looking for. I have no intention of reinventing the wheel until i have a much better understanding of internet marketing. i have a much bigger advertising budget i just do not want to waste it on a bad site :). this is going to sound like a very dumb question. How do i test my landing page?

I will definitely look into that. I have been reviewing a few websites and putting together my options. i figure failing is part of the game at first but any tips are always appreciated!
