Hey guys, before you go on, yes I have used the heck out the search button, yes I have messaged people, and yes I have read around, tried different tools. My questions are:

    1. Am I doing my keyword research right and selecting the best keywords? Read below.
    2. The words I select, can I use them for adwords and my seo, or do I have to pick separate ones for each?
    3. I've found about 10-12 keywords, 3-4 seem to have low competition, wheres the other 7-9 range between medium-difficult. Are 10-12 keywords good enough to start off with these 1-3 months, or do I need more?

    What I have done:

I've done research about a market I want, developed a nice product, finishing up the website, and have 2 year old domain already, so know I am thinking about doing some ppc campaigns along with some seo. The market I am doing is in the entertainment niche, so think "digital photography".

So it's time for KW research. I've read and watch possibly everything I could:

That's just the favorites I've read and watched. After that, used market samurai, and found some low comp keywords I think were profitable. After filtering the heck out of it, and removing some irrelevant terms, I found 3 kw:

I implemented fallenintome's kw method, and found 9 keywords using adwords keyword tool + traffic travis free:

I am wondering based on this report, should I go with this kw? The niche is competitive, and the other terms seem to have alot of checkmarks.

So am I ready to move on, and get started on seo and a adwords campaign, or do you recommend anything else? Thanks to any advice.

    Hi,

I recently wrote a tutorial on the topic, explaining exactly what you need to do before moving on, the information is really in depth and anyone not sure about keyword research --- must read it.'
From your post I can see a couple of things you're doing wrong. I need to get some sleep, but will contact you about this, more tomorrow morning. For now dig into the tutorial, it'll explain everything. Everything you need to know is there.

    Hope that helps a little!

I think you must've thought I was a beginner, this article briefly, if at all described kw research.

I'm looking for something more advanced, and some expert advice.

The Above to screen shot, according to travis keyword on page in not good but their PR = Page rank, high more than 4 and BL= Backlinks pages having Thousand of backlinks. I usually saw competitor backlinks Quality (DA,PA,PR) . IF you Are Starter Dont Go For competitive niches, select easy to rank keyword with less than 300 backlinks less than 3 pr . once you rank these type of keyword go for little medium than go for medium than go for competitive niches this all we are doing at start ,

Thanks for sharing this :) in Step #2: Google Adwords Keyword Tool, how to know the good keywords?

Do I need to choose low competition or I can choose "medium"? knowing that I am very new.

And then what are the good amounts of monthly searches? The strange thing is that some keywords that I thought popular are having 12k search a month(even when removing usa and english) filter, I think that amount is so litter, keyword was virtual credit card.
