I have a big sports website and I get many articles daily. One of the problems I face is the usage of photos, since I am not allowed to use most of them. There are some CC ones, bu honestly, there are not many of them, not what I want.

So I am wondering, am I allowed to use images from official Facebook pages on my website? Not any page, only official one.

Also, is there any website, like Getty Images, which sells a "lifetime" license for their images? The only option I found is buying images, one by one, and that costs A LOT!

Check this; their official statement about copyright concerns. Although it's a few years old now, I haven't found anything to the contrary to what this web page says. So I believe it's their last word on the issue that is bothering you:
    Ref.:
    Code:
    https://www.facebook.com/notes/andy-rouse-wildlife-photography/facebook-picture-rights/270204724175
About images on the official pages of any company on FB, they fully belong to the photographer and/or the company, and unless they pass you or public the right to publish/use it with/without restrictions, they should be considered as "watch, don't touch, don't rob, don't use/misuse, ask for usage permission if you want to use it and get the permission before using it."

If you still want to use them "just off the shelf", then better be prepared to get into major issues later on. May be, you'll never get caught in your life time, but if I were you then I wouldn't take that chance.

    P.S.:
If you want their latest official version, then you too, as that author did, find an email contact for the Intellectual Property Rights department at Facebook, and request their stand on it.

OK, let me help you a little on it :). Here are some link that you can read when you find some free time:
    Code:
    https://www.facebook.com/search/web/?q=intellectual+rights+facebook&form=FBDRCT&sid=0&source=quickselect
OR, in FB search box, type this string:
    intellectual rights facebook

I added some more to my earlier post, so you can get some more knowledge while they can answer your queries. :) Anyway, it also added some more to the little knowledge I earlier had on the topic. So, TYVM for this thread... lol
