Hey BHWers, I need some help urgently =)

I'm selling some services, and the domain I'm using is the kind of http://brandname.mydomain.com/

Replace brandname with Facebook, Youtube, Instagram, etc.

Will I get a copyright notice from this brand?

Problem is that I'm already using their brand name in my subdomain, and the site got some rankings. What do I do now? Create a new subdomain that doesn't include the name of the brand + 301 redirect the subdomain with the brandname on it

Any help will be highly appreciated!

keep a sub-domain ready. The usual step is they will send you a notice (if they send at all). Hosting will immediately inform you. You can redirect it. This is considering extreme situation. But i don't think there is going to be a problem. Think about long urls like yourwebsite.xxx/facebook-has-sued-you. There is facebook there too right? As long as you are not using their brand for shady things everything is going to be fine. But be ready with some replacement and a possible 301 if things don't turn out to be well.

    Thanks for your answer gavinb.

Regarding shady stuff - I guess it is, as if it was Facebook I would be selling fans/likes/etc.

Rankings are not that awesome, I'm getting about 30-40 UV/day. Im OK with giving up my current rankings if this means I will avoid troubles in the future.

then you might as well stop now then later. Just build a branded sub domain but with a twist like funbook, freebook etc. you get the point and yes do re-direct current one to new one.
