My main target keyword dropped from #3 spot to nowhere while some other keywords still drive traffic normally. So i think it's not a penalty for my site.
There is no message at Google webmaster and number of backlinks showed in there are essentially the same. I didn't build links for 1 year.

Is there anyway to check accurately. :(

I think you got your a$$ kicked.... check my thread mate... that's what I am talking about.

I dont think it will be that, If it was that easy to derank competitors everyone would xrumer blast each others websites. (me personally i wouldnt becasue i believe in kharma.)

At this minute the only thing that comes to mind is that its because you havent done any SEO for a year, thats a long time especially if its a competitive niche.

It sounds llike your competitors have overtaken you in SEO efforts and results and maybe Google did some tidying and in the sweep up moved your site down due to you noe building links to it for so long.

'Maybe' if you started to build some more links to the site then G will begin to raise your site through the rankings again?? It's always worth a try as continual link building is never a bad thing (unless you build just one type of links).

Sick of seeing people who are not ranking blame Negative SEO.

Maybe you missed his point? He did said he WAS ranking at #3 for that keyword, and then suddenly dropped to nowhere.

I'm more sick of people posting useless comments like yours.

To the OP: I can check it with Keyword Canine, since they give a full backlinks report of a page/domain.

Google is also applying keyword penalty. I get this idea from my recent evaluations.

Maybe you over optimized your site for that keyword and now you got a penalty. I had the same experience with one of my sites, got penalty for main keyword and the other keywords were ranking fine.

I never did any blasts for my money site in past.I always did manual and compete whitehat and now i can see its rankings improve.

my target url is still ranked at another keyword and 3 other posts are still indexed for the keyword i'm targeting :(
will changing the page to new URL and 301 redirecting old URL to the new one do recover ?

doesnt sound like a penalty. wait a few days and then come to a conclusion

Check if your site has been sandboxed with a checker tool(you may search google for Google Sandbox Checker if you want to find tools like this)

well if you got bombed it shouldn't be hard to find the offending links. Should be super easy to find them actually if they were able to knock you off like that.

The same thing happened to a few of my sites. As far as I can see is it was caused by me over optimising some pages for certain keywords and the same for building too many shitty links to those pages too.

The long term solution is to balance out your links across the entire site and wait for G to see your efforts.

You are a victim of Penguin. De-optimize your site/backlinks and hope for recovery. But if you are not a Fortune 500 company, with an Army of attorneys, don't expect your return to page one to be easy.
