Just throw together a quick blogger/WP/squidoo/etc. site or two, grab some random but somewhat relevant content, spend 5 minutes so it doesn't look like it was done by a chimpanzee on crack and ta-dah! There's your website. You don't need anything award-winning.

That's how a lot of people start, myself included.

Your best way to handle this is to act like you would if you actually bought a list. You wouldn't tell us where you got it, if t was converting, would you? Hell no! Its your list, from your source. And it's double opt-in. Turn it around: "Is the advertiser complaining?" They will say "No", and you say "Great, let's talk about raising my payout so I can drive some more traffic"

    done and done.

No, tell them you DID purchase it. Just flat out refuse to tell them who you bought it from. You don't want to give up all your sources of profit, now, do you ? ;)

Don't forget to ask them about how they can pay you more, so you can send more traffic. Be bold, and fearless. And you will, in turn, profit.

All you need is some kind of 'subscribe via email' widget, which all of the free blog/website pages have in some form or another. It would take care of all the 'double opt-in' crap too. Blogger is probably the easiest to use, I think they have tutorials & stuff too. And as a bonus it's run by Google. (In other words fast indexing if they like it.)

If you'd rather use your own hosting & domains just use WordPress. Millions of templates & plug-ins and it's fairly easy to get started.
