Hey guys it seems the anons are throwing a big party in DC this November. I am excited to attend as I heard there would be pie and ice cream.

Any other Blackhats from New England wanna go and represent? Maybe we could wear Matt Cutts face masks instead to set us apart from the Anons?

The real Anonymous guys will not show publicly like this.
They will just sit in corner and hack.

I know these guys, the real Anonymous is a champion of freedom and justice.
But they guys who run Anonymous? They may hack government saying they are Anonymous, but receive pays from government to secure them/hack their adversaries.
I am not saying that Anonymous is bad, I am just saying that some hackers are hypocrites, hacking the government and hacking for government as well.
Mind you, hackers who found weakness in government systems, or hackers who are paid to hack other government, gets paid a lot.

Again, I am bashing Anonymous, I am just bashing people who think that all of the hackers are good guys. No, they are not.
Remember also, most NSA guys came from hacker background.
The hacker kid you see today, may peek on your data in 20 years ahead.

Care about your safety? Use TOR. Use VPN. Trust no one.

Are you implying that people who work for the government in the security sector are the bad guys? What planet do you live on?

Some people want to improve the infrastructure of the internet so 14 year olds with downloaded tools can't take down peoples online businesses/livelihoods easily. Fuck them right? I guess in your world any hacker who isn't trying to hack the government is a bad guy huh?

Government surveillance is a political problem, not an information technology problem.

Apologies if I'm wrong and please correct me if I am, but that was the overall impression I got from reading your post.

I think you misunderstood my post.
What I hate is that there is a mindset of people who think that these "Anonymous hackers" are a real holy organization who will expose government secrets all day, while in fact, they aren't. These hackers who "you" thought working for the people and for internet freedom, on other hand, is working also for the government who wants to abuse their power. I don't mind seeing hackers in government, after all cyber wars is real. In fact, I had a project related with military cyber-security way back, saying that guys who work for government is bad is saying that I'm bad also. What I hate is people who think that these group of hackers are really fighting the government, which they may not.

Heck, I'm not even a full supporter of total freedom of Internet, some areas should still be watched/monitored by the government. Saying that government should butt out completely from the Internet is totally impossible. Take a look at some "freedom" Internet such as TOR. Some services offered includes murder-for-hire and drug dealing. What about terrorism? A lot of people are blind to the fact that terrorist are using Internet also. By government monitoring, actually governments around the world are negating their effects by forcing the terrorist use other methods (which are slower, and maybe more traceable) than Internet. But I do hate government spying to its citizens and allies, and government can spy on you without any warrant or court order.

The essence of my post is that people should not trust Anonymous, like Anonymous will deliver them from government's hand. No, they won't.

Anyways, there are many valid points, some true, some false; does it really matter?

The only person that you rely on is yourself. Do what you believe, not what others believe.

Hmmmmm. If anyone on BlackHatWorld supports Anonymous then you are pretty stupid. Don't get me wrong, I thought they were cool too when I was younger.

So why do I hate Anonymous?

Not only because MOST (not all) of them are a bunch of kids who couldn't hack a tree! But because the ones that do know what they are doing DDOS'd PayPal because they stopped doing business with wikileaks. If you are a noob at IM then of course this isn't a problem. But if you are more experienced and have money coming into PayPal every day and have bills to pay, then it changes your life a little.

Another reason is because they used to be so fricken' cool. Now any kid can put on a mask and people say "Oh he's from Anonymous." Most of them have no idea what they are doing!

If you really want to follow a hacker that knows what he is doing then follow th3j35t3r! He's like the Batman of the internet.

I'll respect Anonymous when Government employees and their stooges in the military start making decisions to not infringe upon American's God-given and Constitutionally protected Rights, because by doing so they may lose their jobs, their health benefits, their retirements, their fat and undeserved paychecks, and all the other trappings of their useless and parasitic existence.

The recent Supreme Court decision by Justice John Roberts has given the US Government new, unprecedented, unconstitutional and tyrannical powers over a people that were given certain, inalienable rights by God Himself.

God, and the Federal Government are now in conflict, and the American People are no longer free. They are no better than any other inferior country whose people are afforded privileges by their governments, while being sold the lie that they are "rights". In these countries, "rights" are what you fervently believe you have, right up to the point at which your government takes them away. And Americans are now reduced to that miserable state, and we have nothing to look forward to but the natural end-result of that spiritual bankruptcy; the european continent is littered with examples of where we are going. Standard-issue socialism where multinational corporations take the revenues the people create, and use those revenues to support an unearned and undeserved existence, while moving those producers ever closer to total enslavement. And anyone that objects will be considered a terrorist.

I do not like Anonymous, nor do I respect them. They are weak. They are cowardly and they are shallow. They lack a substantive philosophical foundation, and are unwilling to put into the physical world the flabby and undefined concepts that they advocate in favor of while online. I'll respect Anonymous when the government fears them more than the people fear their government. Until then, the image I have of Anonymous is a handful of disgruntled teenagers not ashamed or embarrassed to wear a stupid and meaningless mask. Guy Fawkes attempted to kill the entirety of the British ruling class, and was tortured and executed as a result of those actions. Anonymous coordinates DNS attacks on websites for a few days, the result of which is a minor inconvenience that is forgotten a week later.

Too many people fail to appreciate the need for substantive action in order to effect substantive change. Too many people fail to appreciate what the word "action" means, really. And, of those that do, almost none have the courage to make statements out loud and in public as far as what that action might look like, and what the desired effect would be.

Too many gutless people want to remain "anonymous".

Are you asking if girls will be there or if they can come? I am sure there will be some girls there.. probably a few Matta Harris looking to penetrate anon leadership.. the government is probably dumb enough to think they will be there in person.

I don't think any of us could get laid here though.. but.. freedom and pie and icecream. I am still down to go and will drive or something if anyone wants to plan something. I have a dark blue ex cop car so maybe we go in FBI suits?
