always getting approval declined!!?? in CJ

hi guys
i am from india..
i joined CJ long ago but i started using it only by now...
i was applying for many advertisers but my application got declined immediately..
wat may be the reason... is it that i am not from the US...or i didnt used the account for a long time(i got warning from CJ for acc deactivation due to dormancy)..

plz enlighten me guys..

It's always a merchant prerogative on who they see fit as an affiliate. In this case they might want affiliates from certain countries only.
 
the only way you can get a higher approval rate is if you rake up a few hundred in your account. I had an account last time, and my auto-decline rate was reduced drastically after I made a few hundred in a week. Or, you can try going after new merchants, as they are new, they will accept everyone and perhaps don't know how to decline affiliates.
 
If you are getting declined immediately then it is the automated system rejecting you because you do not qualify - most likely reason is the country is not on the list of approved countries

If you are not sure contact the affiliate program manager - contact information is usually listed there

if you were denied is it wise to re-apply? i applied for a bunch when i first started a couple of months ago and seemed that i was denied for the programs i really wanted. i have made some $$$ since. should i re-apply?
 
No country does nt matter ok try it with vcommision u will get approved as its indian affiliate
 
I had the same problem, but since i start making some thousand dollars month, i got more approved programs and now i recieve daily offers from mechants wanting me to join their programs. I think you should start promoting the programs you are approved and when you start seeing money on your account you should apply to those declined programs.
 
I don't get it. Turn down publishers who can make you money? That's insane. If I was an advertiser I'd let EVERYONE join! :)
 
I apply for many advertisers many at pending status some direct decline .
 
CJ is easy to get in. I am also from INDIA, why not call them
 
I have the same problem (my country : Romania ) . I have made about $700 with CJ, added niche blogs ( as AffGuy suggested ) but still I get auto-declined...any suggestions?

Same thing happened to me because of account dormancy and no amount of pleading will get them to change their mind. And I don't happen to be in the USA either. Haven't given up yet but they are really hard nosed.

You'll often find that if you have your advertising settings set to include 'email marketing' you may get auto-declined ... if a specific publisher does not allow that in the affiliate agreement, for example. When I initially joined CJ I noticed an increase in the amount of approved applications after removing it as one of my marketing methods. One of the above posters would also be correct about having a bit of cash in the account, it definitely helps.
 
yeah you just gotta find t he affiliates that accept you and make some money with them that way you can get into theother affiliates
 
Even I was getting rejected .. so here's what I did..

I bought a domain related to shopping & posted Goldencan links for Amazon products and coupons.. essentially I created a huge site selling lots of physical items... I did some link building, created sitemap and then added the site in my CJ account....

After that whenever I was rejected, I used to email the affiliate manager (the email is usually given in the program details page) that I am in IM since last 2 years. Here's a list of my sites and I target only US customers..I use SEO and PPC for generating traffic and so on...

After sending this mail 95% of time I would get accepted

Its your country. I resolved this by creating a US account with a US forwarding address. This still allows you to submit a W8 non resident tax form so tax is still not an issue. Combine this with a US etrade account and you can get approved for almost anything and get paid fast and easily via direct deposit.

Very good post!

Is it enough to make a virtual mailbox or you need a US bank account, too? Do CJ, linkshare and the other big networks accept this situation?

thanks for all the useful info on this. As i have also had an auto decline. i wondered why as i think my site is reasonable and at least it gets some traffic. but i also keep getting declined for adsense - dont know why on that either. But anyway at least i have found a way on this site to buy adsense. Yippeee!!!
