Alternatives To Marchant Account For CC processing

I just finished a long ass application for a merchant account so I can except CCs on my sites. I had all my bank info etc. and then I read the TOS and it said you had to be 18+ (damn, should have realized that earlier, cant do contacts as a minor... duh)

Anyway, is my only option to get one of my parents to open a merchant accnt for me or do I just have to keep using paypal? I was stoked to set up some sites with some short on site payment processors with trial billing, but nooo I am too young lol...

and btw, has anyone tried reoccurring trial billing with paypal? Does everybody cancel right away for say.. biz op sites? (I am trying to score $80 from people who forget to cancel there trial, does it work at all on paypal?)

with paypal, they can get their money back really fast and if they do too many chargebacks, your account will get shut down

I have had like 100 disputes on my account and paypal never threatened to shut down my account. I dont get why they would shut me down either because everything would be legit and I dont care if people dispute because paypal ALL WAYS rules in favor of the seller when it comes to digital things... Has happen to me many times as both the buyer and seller... Also, although I have had plenty of disputes, I have never had anyone do a charge back. Also there would be no grounds for a charge back so I dont think this would be any different.

Anyway, my mom just gave my her SSN and what not and told me to make a merchant account with her info. She use to work for the IRS so I think she knows what shes doing, but what do you guys think? I would report all the earnings on my taxes but the merchant acct would be under all her info? idk

Having a CC merchant account is going to be the way to go. I lose so much to Paypal disputes, even when I am never in the wrong. So frustrating.

I applied with my mom's info, hopefully that works. I will post if it gets accepted or not.

Just a little update on the merchant account. - I got the account all set up and approved(with my mom's info) and I am very happy I did. I also got an 1shoppingcart account to use my merchant account with and it's perfect, just what I needed. I am going to use the account for free trial billing, and it looks like it will convert 1000% better than if I just went with paypal. Now I am ready to start making piles of money XD... off to work!

Edit: See you got approved, Be aware, it is her info that is on the line, dont be stupid or get too greedy.I would suggest quickbooks also.

as long as you ok the charge back they want shut you down. If you fight a ton of them then there will be isuees. I call this a cost of doing business. Im in the telemarketing business also for high risk products so i just consider it part of the game and a cost of doing business.

Hey buddy, the easiest thing to do is paypal less headaches, if you need to refund people its easier and its the largest merchant online just use one of your parents info, that what I did when I first started and then changed it down the road, you wont know if you dont give things a shot, right
