I keep hearing paypal dicks people around. What is a good alternative to paypal? thanks

I would say Moneybookers can be considered as next to Paypal.

Alertpay seems to be gaining in popularity.
At the moment I use PayPal or Google Checkout - trying, like you, to find something to replace PayPal, the worthless pile of cretins that they are!

Anyone tried AlertPay:

Just as good as GayPal!!! They have all the features and business tools for accepting payments by banks and creditcards.

As 'orders211' states though as I have found you need a 'Paypal' account to sell anything like ebooks as everyone has funds in a paypal to buy and will not buy any other way. The other way round this is only to set up a 'Paydotcom' or 'Clickbank' account to sell the product. That way you wont have to worry about 'Paypal' just shutting down your account for suspicious activity as the money is not just being deposited by unknown sources and other paypal accounts - as if its in high or lots of amounts they say it may be laudrying money. Whereas if you use a clickbank account the money has a verfied source of payment etc.

you can check epassporte and moneybookers

epassporte is great. i love being able to access my funds on there wherever i am. with paypal if i get money in it i always have to wait like 5 business days to xfer it into my bank account. webmoney is good too

http://www.paypalsucks.org/ - this website is spot on this outfit are a bunch of crooks. I have lost hundreds of Dollars to this shower. I use Moneybookers to make payments abroad to service providers and touch wood no problems todate.

Liberty Reserve is a good alternative of paypal. Their security system is very good compared to other payment processors. One problem is u cannot fund directly from ur bank account or credit card. u have to use 3rd party merchants for funding.

Anyone tried liberty reserve?

It looks pretty good & a few of my friends use it for taking payments for stuff.

Well i have used it and still using for long time. I have noticed one thing that the exchange rate of LR with PayPal has increased in recent years and also increasing fast. Now the LR has more value than Paypal.

Like i said earlier, i have used Liberty Reserve and pretty happy with their service. The thing i most like is their security service, u need to use 4 digit pin like ATM machine after entering the password. They will show u a code given by u while entering into the site to prevent phishing and to ensure that u have entered into the original Liberty Reserve site not any mirror site. Its really good for security.

Their wallet system is also nice, u can pay or buy anything without login into your main account.

ePassporte is the best alternative to PayPal.

No tax on incoming money
Costs $0.30 to xfer money
Can get up to 3k out of ATM a day
Easy to setup 100% anonymous account :)

Hey, try ccnow, I used that forever and it works fine, the reserve period is 2 weeks though.
