A really nice journey. You are building normal links - web 20, some profile, bookmarks, comments and then add PBNs, right?

    Sretno, samo tako nastavi!

Depends on the keyword research that I do :) I firstly do onpage SEO and see where it ranks. Then I go from there to see what actually "needs building". I still am waiting for domain to age a bit more before going "more aggressive".

    Thanks ;)

    Thanks :)

I forgot to post my traffic update. (that bounce rate though). Clearly people don't look more then 1 minute since they mostly just go on call right away but yeah I might need to do something about it.

I felt like I needed to do a quick update before one massive one that is coming at the end of this week (most probably Friday).

I've lost some ranks after the new update but I don't mind as it was because I didn't put any content update on my site (most probably).

That is now getting taken care of, I've done some keyword research and got 4 articles written to be posted 1 per 2 days this time.

I've also been playing more around my other SEO test project (which is going great btw) but no way am I neglecting this one as this is one of my main personal projects (waiting for results is a pain but well).

Why I focused on my other project a bit? I saw a few conversions getting in and I actually ranked for one keyword instantly on page 1. I did a few updates to it (converting content mostly) and this is what I got:

I have to contact business owners to list their service on my website. Hopefully GSA contact submitter will do the job since I own it just need to get a converting email written and maybe also presell my design services in there while I am at it as most websites look awful.

I do also have a CSV file of 18k businesses with website and phone number that could also be potential leads also related to the niche. Will see what I will decide to do.

Can't wait to provide the big update on Friday!

EDIT: While writing this I got 1 more lead hehe. The way it looks like my other test seo project will achieve 2k per month before this one.

God damn :) I am 2 days late with an update ... I do have a reason though so just read on.

This month up till now wasn't going that smooth as previous one (not getting discouraged here though). Since the last update, my rankings have fallen down and I couldn't find a reason up until 2 days ago (starting to recover).
The directory part that I did made lots of new pages (obviously) which all had same SEO description and title in there. It just wasn't looking clean at all especially to googles eyes (I think).

So ... for the past 2 days I've been fixing this issue like crazy. I think I've managed to get everything. I shall see what will happen in the next 2 weeks or so.

Here is how my ranks look (from 1st to 26th)

How will I try and recover from this?

Pretty simple actually. I am still waiting for some PBN links to take effect that I got from "Birdy". I will also be posting more content to the website as I wasn't active at that part much lately.

Already posted two new articles (1x600words and 1x1200words) this week. I also got two more prepared for next week and I should also be finishing the infographic and getting it submitted to some sites (if I won't do it manually including some video submission).

Found some good keywords for my next few articles as well (all ranging from 3-15k search volume). I will be ordering them next week once I get the payment from Peerfly (another project).

Oh hey... at least my conversion rate improved (1st to 26th) ;) now to gain those #1 ranks (this competition is killing me as I am not sure what else to improve).

Yesterday, I got a "warning" from Namecheap that domain name will be expiring next month. Guess it has almost been a year since I got the domain.
I said I won't wait until then to renew it, so I went ahead and renew the domain for another 3 years (could have gone for 5).

Am about to finally get the GMB (google my business) page done for this niche site. I really need it as I've seen this "new competitor" rank for the 150k search volume keyword (which I am nowhere near the top 100) with just a few directory links from various sites (thanks ahrefs) so I need an address. This really got me curious as of WTH is going on. I doubt they have any hidden PBN behind that so this is a must try once I get the GMB sorted.

    To do list next week

Finish the infographic and submit it to as many image sharing sites as possible either manually or by outsourcing it.
Submit two or three new articles and properly optimize all the tags and do onpage seo.
Get me some Video backlinks which I think I will point all to the homepage (I do need to diversify links to inner pages more).
Buy me some proxies so I can use GSA contact submitter to try and get some leads.
Setup automatic social network postings. While it doesn't take much time to do it manually, this would actually save me some time.
Further try and optimize Conversion rate with some content changes and SEO title + Description tests.
Find me a few expired domains in the niche and continue building my own PBN for this
I will maybe outreach to other niche related site owners for guest posts or link exchange for something in return that I can offer

Might not sound that I did much here but its a lot of work especially if you have two other niche sites to maintain :) and the waiting to see if it did an impact on SEO as well...

Will see if I missed anything... If I did, I will post it in the next post.

    Ah can't edit anymore.

I forgot to note that there is one way I increased CR a bit :) its not just by linking text to the number so people can call ...

I also made a few banner variations to test (1 before content, 1 after content and one in between) as before, I didn't have any banner in the content I have (and I get half of the visitors to the inner pages).

Greeting @Visual Eagle very nice thread. Very inspiring for me to go on and get back started with my own journey.

How have things been for you lately? I'm very interested in knowing how things improved because I'm sure time would have boosted your rankings since you had quality content.

Well I'm sure I'll have more questions when I read through your article again but just really wanted to thank you for sharing your journey.

Relax guys :) I said I will provide an update at the end of the month so ... here it is ^^

It's been quite some time since I've updated this thread and it is because of these reasons:

    1) I had to migrate everything from my shared hosting to a dedicated one which includes setting it up, optimizing it for speed and testing overtime about connections my sites have and such you know... optimizing NGINX and PHP-FPM on CentOS stuff. This kind of took a lot of time for me as it was the first time I was PROPERLY doing this. A few reinstalls and a few days of my work and it was done ;) Overall I would say this took me about 4 days to set up and after about a month of data collection, the optimizing part which took me a day.
I will probably buy one more dedicated server in the US at a later date to further improve the loading speed of this and a few other websites I have only meant for the US. I didn't take US server from the start because I needed it closer to my location here in Europe as I got a few customers that "are hosting" the websites I designed on it so obviously I don't want their traffic connecting to US + I couldn't find any solid deal on US dedi all were $100/m+

    2) Wanted to wait for my ranks to get stable before doing any more SEO (I will do some manual work now). I think they are kind of stable now so I will proceed with SEO next month.

    3) Was thinking how to improve CR (which I achieved).

I don't want to get the techy stuff into detail so here I go opening this update with my earnings from 2 months and the previous month (it is 1.11 as I am writing this).

    September Earnings:

    October:

As you can see ... my Conversion rate went up quite a bit ;) I saw that visitors on my homepage didn't stay for long on my website and bounce rate was quite high.

By rewriting the homepage content and designing a whole new homepage, I managed to improve bounce rate and CR and obviously website speed by changing to dedicated server, optimizing images and favicon (wrote a thread on bhw about it) which made my website load in 1.5s (in US) at about 2.4MB size (yeah plenty of images and stuff though only 24 requests are made).

Oh I also extended my domain (was about to expire) for another 5 years because why not (maybe I should have extended for even longer?).

Here are the rank updates from the 26th of Aug when I last updated till 31st of Oct.

Steadily improving in overall rankings without doing any SEO for the past month. I haven't even added any content besides yesterday (1k words for this new keyword I found). I did drop for my main keywords but am not worried at all :) once I finish the infographic and submit it all over these pictures sharing sites and blasting them with some T2 links to index them, I am sure the ranks will improve and get back right up.

Lately, I've been scraping some Tumblrs for my side project and I do have some TF15+ saved on my disk which are meant especially for this website. All I got to do is order the content so I won't have those "naked tumblrs" just linking out in the description to the site. I didn't expend my PBN as I can't seem to find any good expired domain in the niche. I won't give up though as I want to build a personal 5 site "PBN" for it.

I saw a lot of people were asking what I buy when I buy SEO services. Here goes my answer:

There is a useful service on BHW to expand your "brand" by creating user profiles on all these social networks, forums (popular ones). I bought this and it was cheap as well ;)
I carefully review PBN sellers (maybe will switch to guest posting) of their website profiles, design and how everything is set up (I hate those average looking PBNs).
Web 2.0s - I like these the MOST especially the EXPIRED ones. I usually do not have time to make web 2.0s (as I go into detail) so I outsource this a lot.
"SEO Packages" - Only if I feel like it and doing some tests or if I am after some really really hard niche (which in this case it is).

I still haven't run the GSA contact submitter (what is wrong with me). I will do it in the upcoming week as I actually have about 20 dedicated proxies left from scraping to use on that tool.

I got two pages on my website that are of high quality and yet they still don't rank in Google after 4 months :/ am not sure what is going on am thinking to remove them all together maybe they might be "destroying my seo". Or google just don't like what I got to offer freakin bastard.

To do list for the upcoming two weeks (besides my other projects, design work ....... so much work):

    1) Finish the infographic and find someone to finally distribute it online.
    2) Content content content ... will outsource this again as I simply do not have time to research, write and then design images and do onpage seo (just the last 2 is fine for me). I've decided to submit 2 post per week ranging from 500 - 1000 words (can be post or landing page content).
    3) Web 2.0 content - more content ;D how much more will I need I am not sure... I got a list of 20 web 2.0s I still dont have any backlink from to be made.
    4) Think I can get that CR to 50%? I really want!
    5) Try to get GMB page (buy or somehow get) as I feel that I need it if I want to target the main 250k keyword ...
    6) Find me some more related keywords to try and get them to convert to calls. I have tons of amazon keywords ready as well but am just not sure if I will go after them (maybe if I "run out" of keywords)

Probably more that I will do but I can't remember now its freakin 3AM ;D I need to get some sleep. Will be answering questions tomorrow.

Have noted it in the update ;) mostly PBN I would say but I might stop ordering those and start throwing all that money to building a personal niche based network just not sure how I should go about the hosting for those sites.

Is anyone out there that is willing to help me get the GMB page (Jr Vips only obviously)? It doesn't have to be in a populated state/city as I really feel I need it. I saw some page rank well for the 250k keyword with a solid GMB profile and a few directory submits (LOL).

Hello, guys :) been more than a month since I last updated this thread... got so much work to do that I kind of forget to update though everything is noted down (in my memory) ;)

I am working on my other SEO project which is currently almost at the goal that this one is aimed at (might open a new thread for that). Now let's get into this one.

To start it off, I must say that I didn't work that much on it the past month besides maintaining my private PBN which is linked to this project only and did some content updates on the website.

Conversion rate did improve a bit as I organized the content a bit further on my website so that is a plus.

I usually use the earned money to invest further for content and SEO so besides my investment money at the start, I could say its "pure profit" of sort.

This time, I won't be posting the ranking screenshot of the keywords because there weren't many rank changes besides gaining and losing a few spots which for me means that it is dancin ;) if someone will request, I will post but I really don't think its needed this time.

Things that went wrong or I discovered the previous month

    1) Stupid me forgot to reactivate a plugin I am using to insert the google analytics done when I last updated the site, so no visitor report this time ;(
    2) My ONPAGE SEO wasn't properly inserted because of Wordpress. Basically, I was missing alt tags, captions and description of the images on the urls themselves. How did this happen? I always optimize after designing which wordpress doesn't then automatically apply the alt tags and other things. What I have to do now, is revisit all the pages and reapply the images.
    3) One part of the page (1/3 actually) was broken because of the menu I designed. I have already fixed this issue but what this did is actually not display content to the user on mobile phones. Not that many visited that part of the website but still, I think it fcked up with my seo effect.
    4) I really forgot to manage social media accounts for this project. I probably will get an automated tool for posting new content on IG and Facebook from the WP site that I have including some other random related content.

    Good things that happened

    1) Discovered a few informational keywords which should lead to more calls as not much information is available online, so they obviously will have to call to find out.
    2) Conversion rate improved a bit and the website is slowly growing.
    3) Bought a really good US VPS server which is what it's all about (black friday deal). Previously, I had loading time of about 2s which now is at about 500-600MS in most of the parts in US. I also switched from WP Rocket to Autoptimize and perfmatters which did help me get less requests and obviously a tad faster loading time. I probably can get it to 300MS once I get some more traffic flowing to the website which should help me determine the settings that I need to use on nginx (using vestaCP on Centos 7).
    4) Since not a single BHW member could help me with GMB page, I've decided to start posting on craigslist to find people in different parts of US to send me the code for like $15-$20/e and by enabling the service area so the location won't be seen. I want one in each state!
    5) Got to review one SEO service on BHW :) I will wait a bit longer before actually leaving a review on there but, from what I've got I think the keywords I used should get a bump from 8 to like 2-3 spot on the Big G (inner article).

To do list for this month

    1) Finish the infographic (its been ages I just cant find the time to make it). THIS MUST CHANGE! I have to get it done.
    2) Order 5 new articles for the keywords I've discovered.
    3) Reapply every image on all the posts for maximum SEO effect (damn you WP for not doing this on auto.).
    4) Find a way to get that Conversion rate to 40%
    5) Start PPC advertising once I get GMB pages

This should be it for now. I promise the next update is gonna be way more JUICIER with results.

Here are the stats of my domain so far - forgot to post this which I also wanted. I might do a link review and disavow the ones I think aren't doing any good. Will be grabbing the trial ahrefs for 7 days tomorrow.
