    Hi all.
I have a Youtube channel targeted for grown ups with only 2.2 % of subscribers being younger than 18 years old.
So I am eligible for activating 'Gambling & Betting Ad' option of Adsense.
However, do those Gambling & Betting Ads generate more money than regular ads?
If they generate more money than regular ads, just how much more?
I am asking you this because this particular channel has mature, conservative audience, and I am worrying that showing gambling ads on my channel would ruin my channel's sophisticated image for them.
So if those 'Gambling & Betting Ads' are surely more profitable than regular ads, I'd do it.
But if they are almost same in terms of profitability compared to the regular ads, then I'd not activate those ads because it'd be not worth it to risk the sophisticated image of channel.
Any input would be greatly, greatly appreciated.
    Thanks and cheers.

CPC of any ads can increase and can decrease, it is not up to you or YouTube, is mostly up to advertisers - how much they wanna pay, so much will you get.

    Hi Tommy.
    Thank you for your reply.
If I may, can I ask you one more question?
In general, do gambling ads pay more than regular ad?
My guess is, since gambling business is highly profitable, they'd pay more than regular companies.
    (But this is my speculation.)
    Am I correct?
    Thanks again for your response.
    Cheers.

I have gambling related ads enabled on my adsense account and I can tell you that the CPC is much much more. Although I do not monetize or use youtube at all for content sites it is a goldmine. From my understanding you need to apply to be able to run a gambling niche and run ads on it (edit: not sure about youtube). If you get approved it is a pretty sweet deal but is heavily monitored. If you do shady stuff you will get caught

Yes, I believe this is true because the number of companies with gambling related adwords campaigns will be limited, as you need a gambling license to advertise.

Thank you very much for the information!
My current CPC is downright pathetic, so I'd love to have some decent CPC on my Youtube channel.
My youtube channel is eligible for the gambling ad since it is targeted on the mature audience and 98% of subscribers are adult populations.
    Thanks a bunch!

CPC is not just CPC. There is a lot on the back end I don't think most adsense users realize. Concentrate on quality and value. Make sites so users want to view or participate in what you offer and in turn google's adsense algorithm will treat you right. There is a "max" CPC based on niche (demand for bidding) but it is not that simple and is subject to change based on many factors.

Ignore your CPC and concentrate on what you are offering to your audience. Your traffic is not just traffic. They are real people.

I have been an adsense user since 2006 and have seen many many changes in how the network works.

    Thanks for the advice.
Yeah, CPC has been a source of headache for me.
But as you said, I am also focusing on the content I offer to my subscribers and doing it in a slow but in a 100% legit way.
    Thanks and cheers.
