Hi guys,

Your all probably goin to laugh at me, but fuck it... we all make mistakes

Basically I've become addicted to this forum, all the members are helpful... and share soo many useful info. I became a little too trusting because

I downloaded a software from a post recently "Forum Poster V3"
and it infected my PC with something, I noticed when it started spamming my MSN messenger and changed my display name.

Yes I didn't bother checking the Virus checker thing... Like I said a little too trusting of BHW. The good news is I shut my PC down without doing alot of damage (I think) ran a virus scan quarantine/deleted files at the end of it. Im posting this from my laptop which is fine.

Anyway my point is how do I know I have totally got rid of it? Because I've being having panic attacks changing my msn password and what not....

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Finally let this be a lesson that even tho MOST bhw members are on point dont forget there are always those in the minority ruining it for others.

Thanks for reading my boring thread, even though u haven't gained anythng by reading this atleast its a reminder to ALWAYS DO A VIRUS SCAN.

I face the same problem like this

Download malwarebyte's immediately and run it. It catches those nasty viruses/trojans/etc.

Also kaspersky works well too.

After you've gotten rid of the virus, download Online Armor, it's a firewall that alerts you every time a program tries to run, it's annoying as hell, but hey it works. So you can permanently block something suspicious the next time it tries to run using Online Armor.

Reformat your hard drive as a last resort.


Also, I used to be addicted to BHW just like you and just keep reading, and I used to be quite a rep/thanks whore.. but trust me, once you take action and bank $$, you just don't give two shits about reading the forum all the time anymore rof01:
