    Hi BHW

I'm swjedinight and I've been around BHW for years now. I've taken a few journey's and crashed and burned on them. I've always looked at IM as a hobby. I find it fascinating to read about but never really wanted to take the risk, time and effort to do it myself. I want to give IM a serious attempt mostly to say that I gave it my college best and walk away with no regrets.

Some of you are just gifted when it comes to IM. Others work at it endlessly just to scrape by. I'm guessing that I'm in the latter. I know that it's frustrating for some of you to see someone like me fail at something so simple in your eyes. If you're the type that gets upset and frustrated by all means unleash it. But, if you're going to flame, I hope you flame then add value. Alright, enough with the disclaimers.

    What I'm Doing

There is a lot of the same journey's flying around here that actually gel together quite nicely. I've seen BTB Facebook method. Franklin Hatchett has like 3 different methods floating around here as well. Basically I'm going to combine all these methods into one.

I started a Shopify site and will dropship with aliexpress. That's how I'm going to monitize. I am trying out selling items in my niche for free and boosting the shipping to make a profit as well as marking up the product and giving free shipping. My shopify has a custom domain. I'm choosing to not give out my niche at this time. My goal is to add 10 items a day to my store.

I have an Instagram account with 20k followers in my niche that im driving traffic with. I started an aged Twitter account and am growing the account manually. I also started a Pinterest account and have started building up as well. I made a facebook fan page built around this niche and linked the fan page, Twitter and Pinterest accounts up to Shopify. I also have a Tumblr account that is autoblogging tons of content to my Twitter, fan page and Pinterest accounts with my URL to my Shopify store.

    What's Next?

I need to drive more traffic. I plan to start Meathead's method of commenting my URL to related forums and websites related to my niche. The problem with this is I really don't know where to find forums for this niche. I also will be doing BTB Facebook method with this but the same problem arises with finding Facebook groups that are engaged and not trying to sell product. lastly I want to drive traffic with Facebook ads. I literally know nothing about Facebook ads or paid traffic in general. My budget for this is small and could really use all the help I could get on this. I know that a lot of my traffic will most likely come from Facebook ads when I figure it out. I also plan on botting social media accounts later on in this journey.

I plan on reinvesting 100% of the profits to acquire more tools and for outsourcing. If this works I also plan on scaling to more Shopify stores using the most productive methods learned here.

Just a heads-up, products often drop out of aliexpress without warning - that's why most people only use 1-2 items at a time.

Thanks, It's a shit-ton of work. I can't wait to outsource all this.
The niche I'm in, there are other sellers selling the same item or similar.

I hope so as well. I'm kind of jaded with having a bigger Instagram then the other social media accounts. I'm not used to the small gains on the new accounts.

I plan on updating as much as I can. Once or more a day.

I also forgot to mention that I had a Fivvr logo made and am waiting for that to come in. I don't know if its smart to start doing ads before I have that. My site looks good, but It will look a ton better with a proffessional looking logo.

Not very long. It takes more time uploading the products than making the site. I don't have experience in doing any of this so it took me about a day to make the site and list the 15 products I have on it at the moment.

    UPDATE

I decided to split test 2 Facebook ads. I set both ads to run for 2 days. I did one for both desktop and mobile and one with just mobile. both i choose to use CPM optimized to target as many people as possible. I have never used Facebook ads so I'm sure this is going to be a learning curve. I have a hard time picking what interests to use. from my research my niche will mostly be mobile traffic. If anyone wants to give more insights on facebook ads, I'd love to hear it. I looked up a ton of videos and read a lot on it. seems like when you start its a lot of luck.

I decided to chill with the products I have to see how the whole process is working before I move forward with adding more products. I also got my logo from fiverr but it wasn't up to snuff so its being redone. It's the weekend and I have my family time commitments so its hard to get time to grow my accounts so im doing the bare minimum the rest of the weekend on these.

    STATS

    Shopify: 55 visitors
    Instagram: 20.2k
    Pinterest: 424
    Twitter: 87
    Tumblr: 0
Facebook ads: 183 reached 0 conversions

    Money: 0$

I will keep testing FB ads and growing social accounts at this time. I will start using Meathead's method of commenting on forums and websites soon. Doing research on Facebook ads have given me some ideas on where to look for places in my niche to use his method.

So my logo came in and I uploaded it to my site. I also don't think I am doing FB ads very well at the moment. I have I have a combined 875 reach on my two ads and something like 17 clicks. I decided to pause the ad after seeing some of the metrics and adjust.

Still working on social media growth. I have conjectured that twitter doesn't seem to be a worth while method for my niche. I don't think i have enough info gathered to quit building it. I will take a look and see what I might need to do to get that rolling.

I'm not happy with how things are going at the moment with my niche. After looking through some videos on FB and shopify, I think I need a better product within my niche. I don't think it stands out as well as I'd like. I def am enjoying the whole process tho so its worth while.

There are lots of people doing real good with this method. Just need to find good selling products and get the right people to view your site. Good luck there swjedinight.

It's the product. I started with a poor niche and didn't sell as a result. Good luck though.

well at this point it could be my ad or my niche. I know people are selling in this niche. I am leaning toward the niche though. I get around 25 hits to my site a day. Thats mostly though my instagram, pinterest, twitter etc. I have gotten 2 clicks from facebook. I am wondering if there is a product in my niche that might have a better CTR.

I'm going to give this a couple more days to see what I can do to push this in the right direction. a couple ideas are to retarget a new product in my niche. the problem is my niche has a lot of variance but really only a few actual products. Another idea is to try pushing a CPA offer or maybe a digital product of sorts.

    Update

I ended up doing 4 different ad sets in Facebook and managed to get a total 10 clicks at a whopping 1.00 per click. I obviously have no idea what I am doing when it comes to FB advertising. I seen that my ads were scoring a 3 on the relevance category which leads me to believe I didnt do my targeting correctly. I am going to shelf FB ads till I can learn a tad more about them.

I did change my website design to make it look a sleeker. I think that my last design might not have focused my product well. I am torn on using my custom logo or not. I think the site actually looks more sleek without it.

I have been constantly growing my social media. Its rather hard when you are growing 5 different social media accounts at the same time. I thought gains would be greater then what they are but they are steadily growing each day. My niche lends itself to Instagram and Pinterest more then anything. I might think about using Instagram Ads for promoting later on.

I stopped adding products to my site. There really isn't any point in adding product if I'm not getting people to click through to my site. I will change product out when I do more sourcing to find other products to promote.

For Fackbook ads try to use clear and big picture, tell the price in ads you will get conversions.

Clearly your fb ad is not converting or bringing you enough targeted visitors to convert.
