Relevent Question....What do you need it for....obviously a bit of all three but a gaming machine is a different animal to a business machine.

I would buy neither of them :D
If it was me that was trying to buy a powerful laptop, I would go for
1 - ASUS
or
2 - MSI

This are the best ones at the moment :D

ASUS and MSI produce their own parts as for Lenovo and Alienware they just use parts from other companies like for ex Dell, so you are going to pay way more then you should...

Edit: And don't forget that you are buying a gaming machine, why are you trying to buy one with a very small Display??? 14" and 15.6"

Ive always been a VAIO person. Mainly because VAIO stands for Visual Audio Intelligence Organizer. Technically, the IO is for 1- 0 . But most of the parts are made from ASUS and their own patents. So... Alienware it is

Another advice from me, you can find this laptops or better then this ones 20-30% cheaper if you buy REFURBISHED...

I have bought several times refurbished laptops and I have never had any issues with them :D

Cheers

Edit: Just another tip, you can buy your laptop from amazon with a friend affiliate link, like this you can save even more :D
As I know even big online shops like tigerdirect, bestbuy have affiliate programs, you can save $100-$150 if you buy through a friend or family member affiliate link
