    Hi,

just saw that one of my websites dropped for all the keywords. It didn't disappear at all, just all keywords went from #1 to #30-60.
Two years ago I experienced the same for one of my websites and saw one or two months later all the keywords came back to the Top 5.

Now I don't know if I should keep the backlinks for this website on my PBN or if I shall remove it.

How would you guys handle this? Do you think the best would be, if I would remove all the links from my PBN now and when I see the website is recovering (maybe?) then I build the backlinks again on the pbn?

I would definitely not remove them.

For the reason that it could come back? Or because it could leave a footprint?

I tend to believe there is a test algo which temporarily penalizes websites (especially newer ones) that gain more links in a short period of time. If you get scared and remove the links you will probably regain your old rankings but you will not rank higher. However if you don't remove your links and build a couple more quality ones, plus you add quality content, after a while your temp penalty is being lifted automatically and you will suddenly rank higher than your initial rankings thanks to your links. This is just a theory based on what I have experienced a couple times.

In my mind there is no doubt that they are testing something similar as you've stated.

Taking off links and putting them back after the penalty us the perfect way for Google to identify your PBN. Don't do that. Just keep a regular pace of link building.
