hey everyone I'm still new to this form so i though maybe instead of people just helping me, that i could maybe help some others. For people that use alexa.com for traffic rankings may want to know how the rankings are determined. Alexa's traffic rankings are based on the usage patterns of Alexa Toolbar users and data collected from other, diverse sources over a rolling 3 month period. Quantcast collects data through affiliations with partners, who include advertisers, publishers, ISPs and advertising networks. Publishers place a Quantcast measurement pixel on their sites, witch in return for the publishers, They can obtain refined analysis on their site Now think about this, Alexas rankings come from people that have their toolbar. That toolbar can't be used for Netscape or Safari. Its mostly used for Firefox. How many average joe's or jill's do you think will have the Alexa toolbar on their computer?? not that many! mostly people that work on their computers every day. Quantcast data comes from anyone who visits any of their 75 000 + publishers sites. Alexa.com's data is from: what internet geeks are doing Quantcast.com's data is from: anyone Example: rapidshare.com Alexa ranks #12 Quantcast ranks #286 I think that says it all!!! oh wait!! It gets better, Ex2: google.co.in Alexa ranks #14 Quantcast ranks #15,243 Google India? Really Alexa??? #14????? Whats in India? COMPUTER GEEKS WORKING FOR $5 AN HOUR. Quantcast.com is way more accurate. Hope this helps a little.
