Alexa Rank how much is it worth

I am just wondering how to know if a website is worth alot?

I want to buy some websites,

But how do I know if i am getting ripped off.

With the alexa rank how do i know it?
and
How do i tell how much a website is worth by the Alexa Rank ?

Well, if you don't want to get ripped off I suggest you look into more than just alexa ranking.

You should look at how many visitors it gets, how well is it indexed, how many backlinks does it have, how old is it, what market can I use it for, etc.

If a site does have a lower alexa ranking, then it's supposedly going to get more traffic, but again you have to find much more than just this piece of information by itself.

I have also used the boost ranking scripts with great success. It can easily be inflated.

When I see questions like yours, I think people have forgotten that this is a business. It should be treated as one.

In other words, value a website the same as you would any other business. If a website is making ten grand a year, ask yourself how much you are willing to pay for the ten grand a year cash flow. If it is a website with the same cash flow, how much would you be willing to pay for that cash flow? If it is a new website, what would you pay somebody to set a similar site for you?

To me, it is that simple. I don't buy a business because of its' potential cash flow. I am willing to only pay for the current cash flow. IMO, a website with no cash flow is considered a 'service' I am purchasing.

Why would he or anybody for that matter show you their site? The reason is because there are many people here and at other similar sites who will exactly copy the site. Believe me, it happens a lot more than you think.
