Sounds really interesting but a bit too philosophical for me.

I have read several of his books and bought a few of his audio tapes in the past. Very interesting guy.

Really enjoy his lectures, thanks for sharing this one. Favorites are him speaking like this one.

He had a vast knowledge of Oriental Philosophy.
He was a very wise man, but unfortunately he
was an alcoholic and it was his drinking that was
eventually his demise. At least, he left a large
volume of materials that I am sure will be read
and enjoyed for many generations to come.

By the way, an interesting side note: Bruce Lee
used to attend many of Mr. Watts' lectures in
California. He was an avid fan of Alan's.

I never knew that, that's definitely interesting. It's funny how everything is connected in one way or another.

One of my favorites from Bruce Lee:

Maybe I'm wrong but philosophy seems to go hand in hand with addictions and stimulants.
I think it helps people think totally out of the box.
or maybe its the other way around - if you seen too much you need an escape from the world.

Alan was quoted as saying that he never gave a lecture sober. He was a
"functional alcoholic" and his chronic state of intoxication never seemed
to affect his ability to give interesting and entertaining talks.
