I have Akismet running on my blog.. i spammed myself using Scrapebox and the results are..

if your comments are under 25-30 words long they get kiked as SPAM

so those of you that have been using comments like

    "nice blog"
"good work, i like the way your blog is set out"

there is a 99.99% chance that you will not get a back like
from those sorts of comment because the admin will not even
    see it.

my findings my be wrong so....lets tweek this thing and get it right

    spammer unite LOL

looking through my own comment moderation i can't believe some of he garbage people are blasting out for blog comments. just goes to prove you can lead a horse to water, but yu can't force him to drink. so many people using scrapebox and other blogs commenters without a clue at all...

interesting..i never considered comment length. How many links do you have in your comment? For some reason i cannot see akismet filtering everything below 25 as spam..i think akismet is really a shitty addon if it does that.

I only had the back link in my name...
maybe if users with SB coul do the same this i did so we can compare our findings..
one of the problems is that if we find out how to get passed WP spam filters then all the users who use SB incorrectly will end up spoiling it fir everyone

My problem is that akismet blocks my links.
But I think I have a really good way to bypass it now, basically not posting spam comments (But still spam them, try to figure how to do it yourself).

some of my links are blacklisted by akismet, my comments are good, i even had people coming back to my blogs and leaving friendly comments lol.... My comments are between 23-40 words and highly spun. I think my urls are just perma banned, i havent even been using SB that much...

Akismet pisses me off, even when i used to post genuine, relevant comments on blogs for whitehat SEO i got one of my first blogs on the blacklist because of some cock wipe bloggers who think any link is spam.

Now let me ask you this if akismet is soooo good maybe its time we teachit a lesson.. why not take HIGH ranking blogs and get them on the akismet train then maybe akismet will have to reconcider? OR ppl wont use it as much..

EDIT: Basically if we start making EVERYTHING look like spam then akismet is up the creek w/o a paddle..

Whitelist urls, mate. Matt Cuts' blog is one of them just because of this.

Very interesting.. I guess I will have to go back and rewrite a lot of the files I am using. Anyone else seen similar results with regards to comment length?
