Hey,
Seems AI sites are getting hit hard by the latest Google Core Update:
"Google is taking aim at sites with heavy AI-content. There are countless reports of sites getting COMPLETELY de-indexed from search:
1. On March 5th, Google announced the March 2024 Core Update that talked about taking action against sites with "Scaled Content": https://lnkd.in/eRPbb9hx
2. The next day, Mark Williams-Cook was one of the first to cite a case study where an AI -site was getting completely removed: https://lnkd.in/eRKXkMkq
3. It appears that site owners are getting manual action-type penalties. In Search Console, they're getting "Pure Spam" notifications that inform them of the penalty against them (via Bill Hartzer): https://lnkd.in/eXifGvNA
4. Lily Ray tweeted an example of 10 sites that have been completely removed from search overnight: https://lnkd.in/eXhXa65J
5. Jacky Chou experienced all the sites tied to a Search Console account he managed get removed. Sites not in the account weren't impacted: https://lnkd.in/eSTgXsh7
6. Julian Goldie has a YouTube channel where he frequently talks about AI SEO content strategies. He reported that many of the sites he manages were impacted: https://lnkd.in/e6b3xsrfI'm currently doing some additional analysis on these types of sites but they appear to be sites that had aggressive content production, utilized AI-content and gained a lot of new pages and organic traffic quickly."
Has anyone experienced this? What are your thoughts on keep using AI for content?
