Okay so i've done a lot of promoting with clickbank recently through YA!, youtube, and other sites. Now i noticed i didn't get any sales the last 3 days. I thought "Oh, well, i might just be out of luck" But guess what? Bitly marked ALL my links as spam. DA FUCK?!?! So, i'm looking for a long time solution here, but... If i buy my own domain at name cheap and make a redirect, then when i use my link on youtube, i've heard that youtube can disable all accounts at once if i use the same URL in all videos.

What to do? Get a domain, get my links and use bitly ? Nah, i really don't know.. Any advice here? Don't want to use tinyurl as i think they are dodgy and i've heard they can take your traffic and all that.. (changing the ref of the link).

    Thanks for any help..

There are many other URL shorteners which you can try like

    Cort.as
    is .gd
    notlong.com

I found these on scrapebox but if you search on google there are many more unpopular URL shorteners..Give them a try

PS: If you can go for .info domain. They hardly cost a dollar and no Youtube wont ban you that way but yea you could leave some footprint for your competitors.

PPS: I never faced any problems with Bitly. Keep trying them and keep check of your urls if they are redirecting well

I don't understand why you guys don't use a custom link cloaking script. It is as easy as nuts..... Get a short domain (expireddomains.net) and use your own damn script dude.

EDIT: Ok here's an example script if you would like
Save it as redirect.php and call it like http://yourdomain.com/redirect.php?slug=dafdee

I haven't tested this, but it should work. It took me less than a minute to write it... So.. Use your own next time... :)

I ' ve been good with bitly for 3 weeks now .. And then suddenly , BAM ! i ' m flagged . I just tried to resubmit my link to bitly , but still the same thing , so the exact link is now blacklisted .

I though of doing something like creating subdomains .. Like this :

    Niche1 . domain . com
    Niche2 . domain . com

Can i do that with Name cheap ?! I don ' t see anything about subdomains there ...

LoL I just posted something similar to this just a minute ago, I noticed my bitly links to CB are marked as spam, I been using it for 2 months without a problem and just today I noticed its going to some stupid warning site from bitly. I've heard of budurl which is meant to be good, but the price is abit high. was thinking of tinyurl but now u mentioned about they steal your links...what to do eh...

You can create sub domains through your hosting accounts. Its possible but still you are leaving footprint.

OP, your registrar doesn't care about subs. Your host does.

Get your domain, make one sub and turn it into a shortener. Now you can see who when and where someone clicked to compare to your CB hops. It doesn't shave, doesn't go down and if you think it does you change host. If you get banned from a site you can try another sub before you change domain.

Also: Try a proxy and then resubmitting the link and don't be surprised to be accused of spamming as that is what you do... :p

Also: "niche.domain.com" seems wrong to do, not only because your host may have limited the amount of subs but because it is plain silly as you need disk space for each sub. "domain.com/redirection" is a better option and the redirection script you install will do it that way too.

Also: Why reuse the same link on ten sites? 1 link, 1 product, 1 site might work better, especially if you like to keep track.

Buy like 100 .info domains for like $0.99 setup shortening url scripts on them and go to town. Remember to use domain privacy and spread them across different hosting accounts.

probably because having your own shortener/cloaker on your own domain will leave a massive footprint when submitting links from same domain on multiple YT accounts for example.. While when using a public, well established shortener there is no such issue, but another issue exists like the one OP reported..

So, both scenarios have their plus and their minus...

mmm then why not spread them into multiple domains(and not use your money site as the domain)? .info domains are frigging cheap?

yes, that can be done.. Just one should keep exact note, links from which domain he posts under what account, so for each account there is separate shortened domain

well, if you are going to buy 100 .info domains, why not just subscribe to a paid service where they won't fuck you over?

other than that, a dynamic IP/domain could be used to setup random url shorteners.

Simply subscribe to a dyndns service, point a random domain they got to the IP of your hosting server.

On the hosting server, setup a website for the dyndns domain you just setup.

Setup the URL shortener, and done.

You could setup 1 hosting account for all the dyndns domain and simply have the same local path for each vhost in httpd.conf (apache or whatever)

actually I will use the dyndns method I just described.

The only problem is that you HAVE to keep the dyndns hosts UP. (free service usually require you to login every week or so) so you could setup a script or imacro to deal with that.

Thanks for the answers guys. Really helpful info, also kind of good that i'm not the only one with this problem, i changed all my links with tinyurl as a quick fix.. I've lost quite a lot of sales i belive which pisses me off. Oh well.. Back onto the horse, and let's make some friggin money!!

Will look into info domains.. Sounds like a good solution! :)

yeah, ofcourse a system can be made with a central intefrace.. Why 2 days man.. The biggest time waster is making the GUI to add/edit/view links.. the technical part is as simple as this:

you put the redir script in /blah/blah/redir.php

    your domains are like this:

    /home/user/domain1.info
    /home/user/domain2.info
    /home/user/domain3.info

    ln -s /blah/blah/redir.php /home/user/domain1.info
    ...
    ..

or simply put in the httpd.conf a global alias for /redir.php to point to /blah/blah/redir.php

    Done :)

the non programmers hire people like us to do it for them :) or even better they get it at BHW for free :)

I use Yii man. Yii does 80% of the coding for you (CRUD , Model, Controller, Form/view ... it does it all). It is even better than Symphony / CI . Try it out and be amazed ;-)
