Can someone dumb this down for me. Sometimes when I used my daily search on ahrefs I will load up TOR and use TOR, but a lot of times they tell me I reached my daily limit. How is that possible?

Because you are sharing the used IP with a lot of people/bots more I guess..?

Is the only reason I could think

I don't know how TOR works, but I thought there were tons of IPs that the chance one of them actually used ahrefs is very rare. Maybe the odd one, but when I re-open TOR a few times in a row and it happens, seems like it would be almost impossible I get three IPs in a row that have already been used for the day on ahrefs.

If you are in urgent need of Ahrefs account just restart your internet device DSL broadband. It will change your IP

Or contact me on Skype If still unclear

    Thanks

That only works if you dont have a static ip. And most ISP do nowadays

It's not that big of deal, I just like to check a site here and there.
I'm going to buy ahrefs account soon, just don't want to buy it until I need it. THen I'll probably get it for a month or two and cancel.

You might be right. Can't imagine any other reason that would make sense.

ahrefs have lowered the amount of queries you can do per IP per 24 hours to just 1 now. Im sure it used to be more than that before.

Ahh...that explains it...I'm getting this message all the time, despite not having used it more than 1x/day, and was like:

if ahrefs is too costly , there was a website which allowed you to share your account by paying only 1/3 fee . can't remember the ur l now .

I wanted to use it , but can't locate now . If someone can point to it , would be great .

and yes they have limited to 1 query per ip in a day for like a 2-3 weeks now .

I noticed this a few weeks ago.

Proxies and TOR no longer seem to work. Unless they can check some other form like private ip or something i dont get it either

Closed down, someone posted it a few days ago and I went to check it out and I think ahrefs had it shut down.
However, there is a user on fiverr that will give five(maybe it was three) reports for $5.

I think when I'm ready I'm just going to buy it for a month or two and get everything I need done, then down the road when I need it again I'll buy it again.

I'd be curious to know how their service would do at $30/month. Too many times have I saw people complaining about price and wanted to split memberships. I'd imagine at minimum they'd be making the profit they are know, but I'd guess even more.
