I have been paying for a ahrefs subscription and though its pretty expensive i have enjoyed it. However recently I have had alot of what the hell moments for instance. One of my adsense sites that gets 4000 visitors a day and has had the best month upon month in the past 5 years its been up, ahref is telling me the site is aparently tanking and dying right now.
Though i have seen no traffic drop and all keywords are still in their same positions, my returning traffic is about 20% rest is all organic search so that cant be it.
But completely inversely to this ahrefs data my sites visitor counts are increasing. How could a metric creator like ahrefs be so farrrrrrr off what the hell!

I have noticed also several sites with this exact same pattern, dropping since "Fred" update.
Obviously "Traffic" in ahref is not something you would trust as metric as is just a estimation being calculated by number of kw´s and their respective position, its not any exact value.
You can still trust the number of kw´s as that is quite obvious, its there or its not and what position.

    correct. this metric is calculated.
I would not "worry to much" about that.

What actually pisses me, is that they keep changing the past metrics
ie : if you check and note down how many kw´s you had on "day X"
this amount changes 10 days later and "day X" has a different amount of kw´s being "day X" 10 days earlier...

I have a case study on a client having 5600 kw´s since last "fred" update and they have gone down from 6k week 1
down from 7k two weeks later, and down from 8k three weeks later, and down from 9k 4 weeks later.. and so on !
It still has his 5600 kw´s but the graph actually shows a steeper loss on kw´s week after week !
