So last week I finished my amazon affiliate website, and my website is now slowely indexing in G. Now its time to rank. According to Ahrefs I have now 7 organic keywords within the top 60 without any offpage SEO.

    So, thats a good start.

Tomorrow I will beginning to post about 10 web2.0's to rank higher.

What I dont understand is that my keywords are ranking in different countrys?

Ive got 3 kw's ranked for the US, 1 for australia, 1 for Canada and 1 for the UK.

Can someone explain that to me?

    google.com (worldwide)
    google.com.au (Australia)
    google.co.uk (United Kingdom)

Google is presenting their index differently based on region and language.

You're going to rank differently on all the different international versions of Google depending on your content/region/optimization/perceived intent.

Ahrefs has many international customers and deemed it necessary/important to present this info.

What country are you focusing on ranking in? Focus on that, don't sweat the other locations.

    Hey its just simple,

Your 3 US ranked keywords are most popular or engaged KW in US search

one Australian ranked KW is more popular or engaged in au search

another one Canada ranked KW is more popular or engaged in Canada search and same in UK...

Also, the google search is different from every country but you don't worry about that. Keep your blog engaging with the end users.

The Google ranking is based mainly on engagement/perceived value of a keyword in a certain geo-local. At this stage, you should focus more on off-page SEO than worry about rankings on different geo locations.

I have a US based site ranking in many countries, but not in the US? Why is this, US keywords are more competitive on average?
