Ahrefs has hidden the free backlink tool link

I was opening Ahrefs to check the backlinks and under tools it was missing, but if you had acceded it you can always get it from history, for new users many won’t even know it exits. What do you’ll think of this.

I absolutely don't like the direction ahrefs is going. No free trials for example. Limited or no access to any tools as a free user.

Then they should have at least a $20 per month plan, where people get a lite access. I use ahrefs maybe 5 times (or even less) per week, why should I spend $80 or more? What I find ridiculous is I could make a new ahrefs trial account for $7 per week and would still end up spending less than on their subscription. They should think about that.

This is it! Not even talking about free use, but they should have cheaper options, for sure. It's nonsense to have lite for $99.

Exactly. I would never pay $99 for something I use for a few minutes, few times per week. At least they could offer such a "lite" account. 20 domain checks per day or something like this.
 
Talking about it here won't help. I went to their chat and asked if there is anything cheaper and then suggested that they make plan for people who will not use the tool every single day. I doubt they will listen.

I guess they have a lot of subscribers and money, and they arent interested to offer small packages.
Also i read that Ahrefs is planing to create a new search engine in a few years.
 
They should fire their marketing departament asap, this strategy will end up badly for them. Ahrefs is by far the most powerfull service in their niche, but the problem is their marketing, the lowest package being priced at 99$ is totally absurd, i suggested them that in the past, to add an <50$ package, there are lots of people like myself who have no need for all functions of the 99$ package and would rather pay 20/30/40/50$ for a service with less resources, they should start thinking about the marketers with low budget, at end of the day i am sure they would get MORE subscribers with a <50$ (just like me) package than with the current case with the lowest being 99$, untill they realize this, people with low budget will continue to use groupbuy tool as there is no suitable subscription plan for them to chose from.

Hahahahha. You talk like Ahrefs care about low paying subscribers :) Most of their subscribers are agencies who are paying thousands for it. They are going for quality, not quantity and that's great. It filters out low quality users :)

If i use ahrefs for keyword research and from time to time i check out my competition, i am qualified as low quality? Interesting

because of what ? someone changed password or what!? of provider detected many ips and locked it ?
