So this is not meant as a negative against BHW, but I have been influenced by posts here for quite some time. I had money tied up in so many ridiculous tools, it was unreal. When you're convinced that you need to backlink your backlinks, something is SERIOUSLY wrong. Why are your backlinks so poor that they need more work when QUALITY backlinks can be had for MUCH less work, and provide MUCH more value.

Anyway... I ditched 5 tools tonight. I won't out those guys but I will say this:

Building quality backlinks is actually really easy and will take 1/2 the time you spend playing with all of those silly tools.

Think of the time you spend spinning and submitting thousands of articles, and then the money you spend to build thousands of backlinks to backlink those fake articles, and then the time you spend to submit those backlinks to RSS feeds to be crawled. Wow...now how many sites are you working on? And how much faith can you put in those completely FAKE backlinking methods?

I grew up this week. I did a lot of experimenting and i've learned that I can spend 30 minutes manually creating QUALITY backlinks... all of which get indexed, and they are 100x more powerful than those thousands of links I tried to build previously. AND they are here for the long term. I don't have to worry about them vanishing!

A site with QUALITY content can be indexed without any backlinks at all....a few backlinks are just icing ont the cake.

I wont be taking shortcuts anymore. :) Doing things the RIGHT way is so much easier and takes 1/2 the time, and costs next to nothing.

Any chance of payment for the remaining 8 articles i wrote for you? I have been waiting for about 3 days now mate?

You're right that high quality links tend to stick around and they're worth alot more. They're not always easy to find though.

You are unworthy of the Dark Side of the Force.

I hear ya... really though, I might be worthy, but I am unWILLING to put all of my effort into a smoke screen. Eventually it all slips away. Why spend so much time attempting to game the system, when you can spend just as much time, if not LESS doing something legitimate that lasts forever?

I've learned. The numbers speak for themselves and it felt really good to ditch all of those worthless tools, and know that I will be better off for it. :)

This statement deserves recognition!

Champagne all around!

Proudly twisted thanks for the post man but can you give us some more detail. Obviously I am not asking for your niche but can you tell us how difficult were the KW's in regards to competition, next what/how did you get "Quality" backlinks.. Please explain.

I have a few blogs now and yes I too have a site on page 1, I think position 2 or 3 for a phrase but the traffic is low for the term..about 1k per month even though the comp is pretty high (10 million in title results, 5.4 million in url results) but other sites have not fared as well even with slightly less competition but more traffic.

Anyway curious to hear a bit more and Congrats on the success!

Most members here tend to think that you throw as many backlinks to your site and see what sticks, kind of like a monkey throwing its feces at the wall.

When really, the best way to build good backlinks is to have quality backlinks in your industry.

Time is major factor here though...

'Quality' links take time to get. And if you've got 500+ sites and over 3k 'money' pages that need SEO'ing (like I do,) then there's a limit to what you can achieve.

1st Tier links need to be proper 'content' links, but 2nd - 4th tier can be as spammy as you like. Use AMR/Web 2.0 properties for tier 1 and BM/comments/profiles/forum posts for indexing and 2nd+ tier

I'd also probably argue with anyone about what 'quality' links REALLY means these days. Even high PR, authority site links can penalise you as Google can see these as paid links. It's very hard to predict what Google will do with any link.

The only way to be sure is to have multiple domains and pages for EVERY keyword and hit them all with a sensible/consistent strategy (sensible and appropriate for your industry/niche and site age/size).

It all depends upon the keywords we're targeting, the easy way of backlinks as the OP said would be helpful for not much competition keywords and its just enough get the rank.

For about tough competition keywords, you should have variety of backlinks and in quantity as well.. thus you can't do that in 1/2 hour time a day!!

You can automate all op said and forget about lost time...There are many "set and forget" services that can do the tedious work - you have some that can replace senukex and more (like backlinksgenie, LP), others that can replace xrumer/scrapebox (dripable), others to help indexing (lindexed), private blog networks where you get hundreds of links for a low amount of $ and so on.

Yes, difficult as hell - add keywords to LP, copy links created into dripable, add related keywords for dripable to blast, add dripable to lindexed, pay MrE or any other serious guy for some quality blog posts and done. HOW LONG DOES THIS TAKE? :)

Don't tell me it's worth more going on the "quality links route".

Yeahi have to agree. I see many peo[le running around like headless chickens looking for the next super duper software that will get 1m backlinks oin one day etc...

The whole point is to make money right? I have to ask sometimes...

When you're convinced that you need to backlink your backlinks, something is SERIOUSLY wrong.

Google measures the value of a page by how many links are pointing to it. If the only pages that are linking to your site are pages with no links pointing to them, it says something about your site. You can rank without building links to your links but you'll see much better results by sending those quality pages some links.

Otherwise I generally agree, do it right the first time, do a god job and you don't have to worry about your backlinks sticking or being indexed.
