Ok.. i'm about to lose my mind, can someone please help me out on this.
I'm trying out a new method of mine but I CAN NOT figure out how to download youTube Videos..

I have used a site that downloads them and it just gives me an "error" when I input the link and I've also used this tool that downloads them which also doesn't work..

How do you download YouTube Videos, does anyone know?

Thank you, would you happen to know what to edit these videos with?
I tried Windows Movie Maker on a couple of them but it seems it won't load them into Movie Maker because it doesn't have the codecs. I'm new to editing/creating videos.

    Download with Ultraget.

Use Total Video Converter (free for like 15 or 30 days) and convert to MPEG. Import your converted MPEG video into Windows Movie Maker. Voila..

Nah, I changed my post cuz I just imported an MPEG into Movie Maker to make sure it would work, so it will save you a step. MPEG is what you want. Movie maker will allow editing to an MPEG.

You can use this for converting to mpg and it's 100% free

I use Camtasia to edit the mpg file.

I am using Firefox with extension 'DownloadHelper' after I've tried several other addons. It also works with dozens of other sites.

Either locate the page downloadhelperdotnet or visit addonsdotmozilladotorg and search for "Video DownloadHelper" for the extension and for instructions. DownloadHelper is one of greatest tools for fetching embedded content from the web. Try it and you'll love it.

I use savevideo.ru, put there a youtube url and it'll give you a direct link to .flv which I just put to download manager. But it is not convenient if you have a lot of links as you can enter one by one only.

Videoget is great! It downloads from Youtuba and and a BUNCH of other sites, and it automatically converts it into the format of your choice(mpeg, avi, etc).

Yep, videoget can convert the file format while downloading.

I've found this via a Google search:

    hxxp://utilitys*erver.blogspot.com/2007/11/vide*oget-20230-retail.html

(replace xx and remove every *)
