Being the smart guy I am I signed up for Godaddy, its literally outoutrageously slow.

So i`m gonna try and get a refund, if I do, what is the best host? I need cheap but fast, that would be the best bet, oh and if they have wordpress one click install that would be great.

Lets hope these scammers give me my money back, after all the hosting is sold as being "Fast"

Anyways so it seems alot of people here use hostgator for shared hosting, can anyone tell me if its still quick load times?

Also, I`ve seen a few people saying they are strict about plugins? Is that still the case? Is it common for a site to be taken down?

Anyways I need "The best shared host for a wordpress blog" =) Please help!

I love Bluehost. You have buy an entire year at once, but you can usually get it at $4-5/m. Hostgator, I've also heard good review, but never used it myself.

    yeah godaddy sucks.

I have great experience with hostwinds, really cheap (3.5$/m) and a dude from BHW is the owner.
or you can try siteground, bought a one year hosting for 10$ (a sale a few months back) and I got to say they're really fast, cheap (4$/m) and great costumer service.

Hostgator has gotten me out of trouble numerous times. The longest I had to wait was three minutes for someone in support to pick up the phone.

Bad move on your part, i'd move straight away.

I would reccomend Host Gator as long as your keeping it whitehat, you really cant complain about there support even if they can be a pain sometimes :)

I haven't had any problems with hostgator. Everything seems as fast as it should be.

Godaddy blows big. For VPS, try vpslink and be sure to disable SSH root access and change the port number. Don't run any shitty PHP programs either.

I got a refund from go daddy, their hosting is outrageously slow, they're whole website is just an attack on the mind, it's so complicated for no reason. So I went over to host gator and I'm loving it, super fast, much more benefits and the support is rapid, my site went down for like 3 minutes and they replies to my query straight away and said sorry we had to do some emergency maintanence. Which is fair enough, I'm really happy with it! My website won't be massively blackhat, maybe a content locker on one page, but that's gonna be about it. But yeah guys I had a horrific time with go daddy, DO NOT make the mistake I did. Go to a reputable provider, I'd recommend host gator, the hosting is great and the support is great!
