Age verification laws in Brazil, the United Kingdom, and the United States are creating mandatory markets for biometric identity verification infrastructure that doubles as surveillance. The same investor, Peter Thiel, simultaneously controls the surveillance analytics company (Palantir) and funds the identity verification company (Persona via Founders Fund). A coordinated legislative pipeline creates the legal demand for these services across borders. The identity verification ecosystem is now converging with the AI agent infrastructure, positioning identity as a prerequisite for every automated transaction on the internet.

What you guys think about it ?

Hi, do you have any sources on this topic? I'm interested in it.

I was scared of them weird people scanning retinas worldwide. It's a unique body trait that can never be changed. Once in a database, it's forever in a database.

Have you seen those stores where they scan your iris to make posters to hang in your living room?

Anything to push a digital ID when the infrastructure is in place, the governments can make anyone stateless to force obedience and also Metadata tracking

What could we do in this context. Like living in the jungle or desert. We are so accustomed to the technology. What else we could do to stop it and live a tracking free life?

If you'll need to age verify your identity to use social media or other services it will basically mean you're no longer anonymous.

Since there are very little guardrails in place to protect personal privacy anymore (practically, not on paper)

This will open the doors to mass surveillance and government / big tech abuse.

It would also pretty much destroy free expression on the internet as most will self-censor themselves.

The future is darker than my ass.

All this techno garbage makes me feel depressed, people are so numb and apathetic to do anything, we're just cooked, maybe aliens or rebel AIs can do something, humanity is just cucked by big techs

Digital ID and the world is going mad under the guise of kid safety online. CSAM prevention is the number one vehicle atm used to usher in mass surveillance. Digital ID is a slow game because adoption rates will stay low for various reasons.

I can eventually see something like Digital ID being paired to TPM or secure enclave. You store the private key and a trusted body holds your Public key. Any given third party that wants to verify you can ask a trusted body that hold your matching key to identify you. These means Cryptography's involved and therefore it means you are securely and chronologically timestamped anywhere you go, what you do etc. But it means it can be used as tracking and because its Cryptography then you cannot disprove it because its 100% verifiable.

Where can this be used?

Online:
Bank institution
Shopping
NSFW age verification
Your email.

Other practical uses
Your job when you clock in
Going into a brick and mortar where you need to prove who you are
Paying bills
Going on a plane
Renting a vehicle

Basic list of areas but imo in the future it Digital ID will replace the plastic ID we use now. It will be pushed onto the public because it will prevent online fraud, all sorts of fraud, crime and issues but at the same time will be a world wide tracking system.

Other areas they want to bring in is attestation. Which is proving who you are when say entering a building or proving who you are when you cross country lines at an airport etc. Well Digital ID will fall into this sort of area and this is online i am talking, it means when you are in say America but want to visit site that are in another region then you may have to prove through attestation who you are. This will be made seamless to the user but it means the main node servers for any locale you connect to will want to know who you are.

Here is Australia you walk into a supermarket, hardware store, the bank, or some other big name stores then you are going to be collected on Ai cameras. Stored into a private database and then your image is going to be accessible to the bodies that have access, so that is law enforcement and who ever else. This is not isolated this is happening world wide. It also tells us that mega corporations and companies are front's for law enforcement and governments now.

10 years ago they where telling us things like the cameras can tell your emotional state. We where not really told about Ai recognition and the larger game plan. I also agree faces and other biometrics are unique so what happens when a bad actor can set you up? Frame you whatever. Get labeled a snowden or something and the govt can fk you over, impersonate you or deepfake you even.

There’s an interesting trend here, but I’d separate the broader development from the claim of a coordinated pipeline. Age-verification laws are definitely creating demand for identity and verification infrastructure, and AI agents could make digital identity more important as automated transactions increase.

But saying one investor is coordinating legislation across Brazil, the UK, and the US requires much stronger evidence than the companies having overlapping investment connections. The more interesting question, IMO, is whether age verification gradually becomes a general-purpose identity layer for the internet—and what that means for privacy, competition, and user anonymity.

The effort is too coordinated to be unplanned.
Now that with AI the cost of mass surveillance is affordable, governments and private companies are pushing to do small steps toward mass surveillance for the sake of "safety", the public is asleep like a boiling frog on a slippery slope.

It will its already in effect with pron sites. This is what i was alluding to when mentioning CSAM is the number one vehicle now. But soon it will be used on majority of the internet. Again its because cryptography can also be used to chronologically triangulate someone's movements. Because Crypto is involved then it means that you end up leaving a trail of your dealings or doings that is both chronological and also hard to disprove. Get caught doing crime online? Well good luck trying to say it wasn't you.

Other areas it will be used in is censorship. We are already seeing cases of people getting reprimanded online for saying the wrong things. When this stuff goes full adoption you better be carful how you act online because there will be real consequence. hate speech is also a thing now so we seen some cases of people doing hate speech on social media and actually getting in trouble, i think there was some cases of people going to prison.

Get labeled a terrorist for having extreme views? yeah well in the future you better be careful about hating demographics online. Don't agree with a certain demographic of people say non hetero sexuals or other sub demographics? better keep that viewpoint to yourself because it could be considered hate speech.

If we come to that someone, there will be always someone in some place in the world with the kyc free option. You'll just need to adjust. But his shows a behavior pattern where any think anonymous will become even more valuable

^ Open networking will take off. We can already do mesh networks on a broader scale. We will still be able to get around in a more free manner. I think the more that people realize what is happening there will be a revolt.

The only people using main internet infrastructure will be normies and people with gray hair that don't know computers. The rest of us will only go on there when we have to.

The whole thing about GDID on windows also shows us that Windows computers the majority slice of the market cap are also being used. They caught a ransomware hacker who took $8m using this ID. Who gets 8m exactly? i call BS probably just a crisis actor to place to the tabloids so that the normies can support the surveillance as a good cause. It tracks your open apps and social media.

So as it stands they if they can track your social media with it then it means they can determine who you are if you used your real credentials on that social media. That exact logic would then mean that say you have a browser open and it viewing your bank account then they could also retrieve you from that.

Then there is recall which is supposed to be opt in, i guess that is also BS because clearly they can obtain your information. Recall would be the obvious cursor. A few years back pentesters also found out that Microsoft 365 can also break encryption as they tested it using locked zip files that contained malware. The zip file was prevented from sending.

This is the world we are heading towards guys no anonymity not just online but irl too. We not even at Digital ID full adoption but they still tracking people. Got to catch all those criminals out there.
