How do you know its Penguin 2.1? This update should have only affected about 1% of searches I believe. And links from 15 different platforms do you mean you only have links from 15 different sites?

First, don't panic. Wait for a few days to see how things settle down and then you can plan a course of action. :)

This appears to be some sort of rollback on previous penguins.
Its way too early to do anything.

Wait a week for the dust to settle and google are finished
they sometimes come in hard, then after a few days Rollback
    some of the features

I have a 14 year old site in the fishing niche !!'. Only ever done manual whitehat textbook techniques... Last 24 hours from page 1 too. 25..

i also have a 4 month old site , black hat.. Dropped

So there is no clear rhyme or reason . Updates by nature take a while .. From
a few hours to a few weeks... I'm not going to worry until a few weeks have passed and I'm still in these bad positions.. Tommorow I could login and see my sites on page 1 again .. This is just a huge publicity stunt by google to get more people to use Adwords and play godlike with peoples lives.. Don't give up.. Hold and wait till the updates finished

    Dude.
    Dont wait.
It takes days if not weeks before changes gets any notice by Google.
You have maybe 1% chance of getting back on track when they tweak the algorithm and if you dont take your chances you are going to wait until next update.

Go to fiverr and hire someone who can find the bad links for you to disavow. I used the disavow tool and it worked but it took about 6 weeks.

Why are people saying don't wait? I agree if it's a churn and burn site then yes. But if you've spent a lot of hard work, time and used "white hat" not spam.. Then WAIT .. Don't be stupid and panic. As before, an update takes a few days to a week or so.. It's got to find its resting point, it's an extremely complicated process.. They don't just press a magic google update button and the whole of SERPS finish updating in an hour or two.. Takes a few days at least

Have you ever seen a site hit by Penguin recover just like that after a week?
I'm not urging anyone to panic, but if you know you have toxic links, that you think is the most possible reason behind Penguin you still have a very tiny chance
to get back before the dust settles.

Wait until the dust settles and then you are stuck at -100?
Which will be the most likely scenario since he has built links?
Wait until next update in 6 months ?
