I just started 3 PPC campaigns for a site, and they have only been up for 2 days, but within these 2 days, the same keywords have now reached new highs in my organic rankings.

Going to keep a close eye on this, for my next 10 campaigns i roll out, but is this a cause of the exclusive "in our club" ranking factor from google?

There is no correlation between PPC advertising and organic rankings.

People have made similar claims in the past. How competitive are the keywords?

medium, they are mostly targeted by a couple of big brands, the great thing is nobody has clicked on the ads yet, so they obviously need a little refinement still,

But yeah its something that i've seen show up now and again, just thought i'd share my twilight zone experience too.

I don't think its a ranking factor personally, but doing the next batch, i'm going to see if i can prove myself wrong, if not then its a weird win win lol

Must be a coincidence if you've had no clicks. But if you do get a lot website engagement from the PPC, people start sharing your pages etc, then that could raise your rankings, most def.

Here is some simple logic why there is no correlation between organic and PPC rankings.
If Google would decide to put your website on page 1 or even give you a boost in rankings because you spent money on Adwords, your competitors could do the same. How will Google then decide which page to boost more or put on page 1? It would have to develop another algorithm to "decide" which website gets more boost from the ones that are involved in PPC. But that algorithm would certainly conflict the algorithm that powers the organic SERP-s. It will fuck up more than solve things. Not to mention that Google is a search engine, not a black market which ranks websites to the highest bidders.

Why would they boost your natural ranking if your already paying for adwords, makes no sense. They would rather you continued paying for traffic!!!

    So in short, NO.

Could it be due to the fact that when starting a ppc compaign it gives a quality score to your website as been a legitimate one and run by a real business . So many possible answers to this case . ( how old is your website op ?)
