    Hi,

Bad time to be a affiliate marketer on Youtube. Youtube hit me yesterday on a product promotion with a community strike that has been up for weeks and I did everything right. I made sure that people knew my link was a affiliate link. I did what everyone was doing who was promoting the "SAME" product and they still took down my video. Not everyone has been hit yet on this product which has left me scratching my head:p.

However, Youtube has hit channels and have wiped out alot of videos, one affiliate marketer I knew of had four seperate channels and they permantely disabled two of them(only two for now at least) within a 24hr span of each other. This guy was making $3000-$5000 per day with video marketing on Youtube, and has probably lost a great chunk of income due to two of his most popluar channels being disabled. Just thought I warn others about this, it seems like Youtube does not want affiliate using there service anymore. Please share you experience below I am interested in hearing your thoughts.

My videos are still up. Is it any affiliate program in particular they're going after?

My videos are fine. I haven't given offers directly but given through my websites. May be that is why my Channel is fine..
Youtube deleted My videos 6 months back when I had given direct offers so I changed my strategy

Yes, but I think it more to it than that. I seen plenty and I do mean plenty of videos with the affiliate links in the description, but not only that I make sure to go out of my way to tell me people that it is indeed an "Affiliate Link" that they are clicking on which is more than half of what other people do when they promote products on Youtube. I also let Youtube know that the video is part of a "Paid Promotion" before I even publish the video as well.

It is kind of random to perfectly honest with you. One day your videos are fine the next they can be getting a community strike against them and be taken down. All it really takes is someone who is manually viewing videos that work at Youtube to disable your video if they do not think it falls in line of what they think Youtube should be. I am sure they are looking at many different types of products out there.

It is a random manual thing. Remember, G doesn't want you earning anything without them getting a chunk of it.

Odd that they would delete your video even when you publicly claimed the link as an affiliate link.

I noticed at least 2 of my accounts were affected yesterday. But it's ok, I never expect long term with 3rd party platforms such as youtube~

Not only that. I even showed them that the product has upsells and downsells as well. I think I had the most honest and informative review about the product then anyone who was reviewing it. Oh well. This is why you do not rely on the big G, if you are going to have a online business make sure that you are building a email list in the process.

Usually this is a good thing, they clear out competition and make it easier for "creative guys".
Check the ones that were not hit, see what they did and repeat.

Hi thank you for your comment. I actually always look at other reviewers videos before coming out with my own review about a product. I look at the content and length of their video and I try to double it with more useful content. Funny thing about this situation is that their are reviewers who take the orginal sales video and alter it by either adding or shaving off seconds of it so their video does not get hit by Youtube algo, this is very funny because it appears to actually be WORKING for them:p .There are many promotional videos like this still up on Youtube.

Thank you for you question. I do not think running GSA to a video on Youtube will hurt the video since the way Youtube rankings system works compare to how Google ranking system works is not the same. Youtube uses it own social signals such(likes, comments, shares, views, etc.) as it ranking system.

Running backlinks to a video does not effect rankings of a video on Youtube. Trust me I have tried that a long time ago;).

Holy Cow! It is real people! YouTube just hit a BIG authority affiliate marketer who has been on Youtube for years! He literally had years of videos wiped out yesterday! Luckily he had a second channel but it was not near as many videos as his original and the last video he uploaded to his channel was 8 months ago! YouTube apparently does not want people places link that goes off YouTube at all! This guy did not place his affiliate links in the description he only placed a links that go back to his blog.
